With this increase, interest rates on US dollar deposits are offered at the highest rate of 0.85 per cent per annum and the lowest rate of 0.35 per cent per annum.
For a maturity period of 3 months, the rate for dollar-denominated deposits is increased to 4 per cent from 3.3 per cent per annum while for 6 months, it is increased to 4.15 per cent from 3.7 per cent per annum.
For dollar-denominated deposits with a tenure of 12 months, the rate is hiked to 4.55 percent from earlier 4.1 per annum and for a 36-month tenure, the rate is increased to 4.7 per cent from 4.35 per cent per annum.
In addition to higher interest rates on US dollar deposits, the bank is rewarding the group of depositors with amounts from US$ 5,000 to above US$ 60,000 to receive higher returns by adding 0.1 to 0.162 percent per year to the interest rate .
