(ĐN) - Zamil Steel Vietnam started construction of its second pre-engineered building factory in Amata Industrial Park, Dong Nai province in the morning of September 6. The new factory costs US$ 9 million to build and it employs about 300 people. It is expected to go into full operation by the second quarter 2006. At that time, the number of the company employees will be risen to 1000.
“Capacity of the newly-built plant stands at 2,000 tons of pre-engineering steel per month. It is designed to produce both pre-engineered buildings and roofing systems. Our factory in Hanoi has reached its maximum capacity and now we see the need to invest in a new factory in Dong Nai. The new factory will meet the demand of both domestic and export markets. 40% of our products is exported to ASEAN countries and Japan.” General Director George E. Kobrossy told the reporter on Tuesday.
Zamil Steel is headquartered in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and has fabrication facilities and Research and Development centers in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Vietnam.
