Donafoods wins 2005 Vietnam Gold Star Award and Youth Employment Award

Donafoods products enjoy high prestige both at domestic and world markets

(ĐN) – According to National Council of Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs, the Dong Nai Import Export Processing Agricultural Products and Food Company (DONAFOODS) is selected to receive this year’s the Vietnam Gold Star Award.  Donafoods has won this prestigious twice, having won for the first time in 2003. The award has been launched by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association (VYEA) since 2003 in an effort to further boost Vietnam’s brand names and products in the local and international markets. The Award is to be given every two years to honor internationally competitive brand names and products. Winners for each award will be retained two years that enables them to have the right to make use of the trademark Vietnam Golden Star in the next two years to further promote their products and services. 

More than 1,000 outstanding brand names and products in 20 categories from 55 cities and provinces throughout Vietnam have been nominated for 2005 Vietnam Gold Star Award. This year’s the Vietnam Gold Star Award is presented to the 118 most outstanding brand names and 57 best products by the organizing board.

Besides, Donafoods is also honor to win Youth Employment Award in 2005. The award goes to 10 companies that are recognized as top performers in creating jobs for young people by National Youth Committee of Vietnam (NYC) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). Over the last eight months 2005, Donafoods has achieved a record turnover of US$ 19 million, increased by 5% over the same period last year. Up to now, the company employs 2,800 people from Bien Hoa city and provincial districts including Xuan Loc, Tan Phu, Dinh Quan, Long Thanh, Nhon Trach.

The awarding ceremony will take place in the evening of September 15, 2005 at Nha Hat Thanh Pho Theatre (Municipal Theatre) in Ho Chi Minh city. It will be broadcasted live on Central Vietnam Television (VTV-1).
