In addition to the STEM/STEAM product showcase, the festival featured various activities, including a school-level robotics competition in association with Dong Nai Technology University, a load-bearing bridge contest in partnership with Lac Hong University, and a bilingual public speaking contest.
The use of AI in the interdisciplinary social sciences (Literature, History, Geography, and English) was one of the event's highlights. Students created professional infographics on traditional craft villages and the growth of local tourism; used AI to adapt and produce historical storytelling videos, bringing history to life; and promoted digital media campaigns to spread environmental protection themes.
The bilingual (English-Vietnamese) public speaking contest was another equally captivating highlight of the festival. A distinctive feature was that all speeches incorporated AI: students used AI as a partner to build tightly structured arguments and as a simulated judge to practice their reflexes, improve their pronunciation, and strengthen their critical thinking skills before stepping onto the real stage. As a result, students entered the competition with greater confidence, demonstrating improved listening and speaking skills and more persuasive presentation abilities.
Bui Thi Ngoc Nga, Principal of Vinh Cuu High School, said, "We are living in a unique era where knowledge is no longer confined to books but is constantly expanding thanks to technology, AI, and global connectivity. In this context, foreign languages are not just a means of communication but also the key to unlocking the world's vast amount of knowledge. STEM/STEAM is not only a method of learning but also a way for students to think, create, and solve real-world problems. AI is not just a technology of the future, as it has become a companion, helping students study more efficiently and creatively every day.”
The Foreign Language, STEM/STEAM, and AI Festival at Vinh Cuu High School shows a correct direction in line with the spirit of educational innovation: placing students at the center, using technology as a tool, and language as a bridge. It also shows that combining the logical thinking fostered by STEM/STEAM and AI with bilingual communication skills will help students build a comprehensive skill set as global citizens.
