Amid the rapidly changing realities, the residents of Dong Nai have high hopes for both a well-designed urban appearance and a breakthrough in the quality of growth. This is the belief in a green and sustainable industrial ecosystem.

Tran Thi Hong Thao, Member of the Standing Board of the Party Committee,

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Trang Bom commune:

Building a locality befitting its new standing

I am very happy, excited, and proud of this significant turning point as Dong Nai is on track to become a centrally governed city and Trang Bom is being upgraded to ward status.

This is not only a particularly significant milestone that affirms the strong development in terms of socio-economy, infrastructure system, and people's lives, but is also the result of a long-term process of continuous effort, consensus, and solidarity of the entire Party Committee, the government, and local people. I believe that the change in administrative units will open up many favorable opportunities to attract investment and promote urban development in a civilized and modern direction; at the same time, it will improve people's quality of life.

On the other hand, this change will also set higher requirements for management, the development of an urban lifestyle, the maintenance of security and public order, and the promotion of the strength of the great national unity bloc.

Dang Van Xiep, Specialist at the Party Committee Office of Nhon Trach commune:

Expectations for faster completion of infrastructure system

As a civil servant of Nhon Trach commune, I am especially excited about Dong Nai's transition to a centrally governed city and the upgrading of Nhon Trach Commune to a ward. I believe this will be a major turning point in development scale, a very important push for the province to expedite the completion of the infrastructure system, especially strategic transport infrastructure, urban infrastructure, and public works. When infrastructure is invested in synchronously, it will not only create favorable conditions for economic development but also significantly improve people's quality of life.

From a local perspective, I expect that Dong Nai's transformation into a city will improve regional linkages, especially connecting more effectively with Ho Chi Minh City and other Southeast provinces. This will expand the development space for Nhon Trach and create conditions to attract more large-scale projects, especially in the fields of industry, services, and urban development. Additionally, I anticipate that as Dong Nai becomes a city, essential sectors like healthcare, education, culture, and the environment will receive stronger investment, contributing to building a civilized and modern living space that satisfies the people's rising expectations.

Tran Minh Thanh, Specialist at the Division of Culture and Social Affairs of Dau Giay commune:

Expecting state management will be elevated to new height

I believe that once Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city and Dau Giay commune is upgraded to a ward, socio-economic sectors will have opportunities for stronger and more comprehensive development. In that context, I particularly expect state management to be raised to a new height, both in terms of governance capacity and service quality, to satisfy the province's and the locality's increasingly development requirements. As the urban scale expands and socio-economic activities become more vibrant, the management apparatus needs to be more professional, flexible, and practical.

For me, the transition from a province to a city or from a commune to a ward is not only an administrative change but also creates conditions to innovate management methods in an urban direction. This enhances operational effectiveness and serves the people better. Specifically for Dau Giay commune, where I work, with the advantage of inheriting the foundation as the administrative center of the former Thong Nhat district, Dau Giay has many favorable conditions to develop more synchronously than nearby localities. This is also a source of pride and motivation for us to keep working to build an increasingly developed locality that satisfies the demands of the new phase.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thi Minh Hue, Chief of An Vien Commune Police:

Investing in infrastructure to enhance the effectiveness of maintaining security and order

When Dong Nai becomes a centrally governed city, the work of ensuring security and order in the province will certainly have high requirements to suit the new situation and context. In light of this reality, to ensure security and order, it is necessary to invest in security and order infrastructure. To improve the effectiveness of maintaining security and order, we cannot apply manual measures using human power, but we must gradually replace them with modern approaches.

Technology software, attendance checks, and artificial intelligence scanners should be used to monitor individuals. Each individual should have an electronic profile to update and monitor developments and activities.

Besides that, the locality should develop a modern security camera network covering all areas and connected to the command centers of commune-level and provincial-level police forces to promptly grasp the security and order developments. To enhance the effectiveness of ensuring public security and order, the locality needs to maximize the use of data from the population management software for professional operations.

Mai Duc Hien, a resident in Tam Hiep ward:

Wishing for a better living environment

We anticipate that Dong Nai's transition to a centrally governed city will result in the most noticeable changes in better infrastructure, convenient transportation, improved medical and educational facilities, and increased job opportunities due to strong investment attraction. Income and living standards may rise. The government will have special policies and mechanisms to proactively promote better economic, cultural, and social development.

However, the people also hope that accompanying policies will be closely aligned with practical realities, such as controlling land and housing prices to keep them from rising too high; ensuring stable jobs for manual laborers; and increasing social security support for low-income earners. At the same time, it is necessary to strictly manage the environment, reduce pollution from industrial parks and plan urban areas reasonably to prevent population overcrowding.

Nguyen Huu Quyen, a resident in Bien Hoa ward:

Aiming for green industries and modern services

As a resident who has lived in Dong Nai for nearly thirty years, I have high hopes for Dong Nai's transformation into a centrally governed city. First, it is the strong and sustainable growth of the economy. With its current industrial advantages and strategic location, the province will not only continue to draw in investment but also aim for high-tech industries, green industries, and modern services. Particularly, Dong Nai will become a significant hub for trade and logistics in the southern region thanks to Long Thanh International Airport.

Besides economic growth, I expect people's quality of life to be improved. Travel and work will be made easier by the simultaneous planning of the transportation infrastructure system, which will readily connect with Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces. The fields of healthcare, education, and culture will be invested in modernly, better fulfilling the people's rising requirements.

The living environment is another crucial factor. I hope that Dong Nai will develop in the direction of a green, clean, and sustainable city, focusing on protecting natural resources and raising community awareness. When that occurs, the city will not only be a place for economic growth but also a location that people will want to live and stay for a very long time.
