This year's contest attracted 51 units from provinces, cities, and universities under the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), with 242 projects across 21 fields (30 more than last year). Notably, this year's projects focused primarily on global trending technology fields, such as system software (34 projects), embedded systems (32 projects), and robotics and intelligent machines (16 projects).

The Dong Nai student delegation participated in this contest with six projects. These were projects that had previously won first prizes at the provincial-level national science and technology contest for secondary and high school students for the 2025-2026 school year, organized by the provincial Department of Education and Training, and were selected to compete at the national level contest.

At the end of the contest, the Dong Nai delegation achieved outstanding results with two awards, both won by students from Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted.

Specifically, the project "Design and development of the AculRpen using the Hampel filter to improve accuracy in identifying acupoints for healthcare," in the field of embedded systems, by students Nguyen To Thien Duyen and Nguyen Ngoc Chi Dan, successfully won first prize. This is the first time in many years that the Dong Nai student delegation has won a first prize at this national contest.

The other project, which won third prize in the field of social and behavioral sciences, was authored by Dang Thu Huong, titled "Developing the Bloommind application to support cancer patients aged from 16 to 22 in overcoming the fear of recurrence after treatment."
