Flower and gift market bustling for March 8

On March 7, the flower and gift market for International Women’s Day (March 8) was quite bustling across Dong Nai province.

At several fresh flower shops in the central wards of the province, the price of roses ranged from 12,000 to 25,000 VND per stem depending on the variety, while imported roses ranged from 60,000 to 100,000 VND per stem. In addition to roses, tulips, peonies, and lilies are also available for customers to choose from during this period. Gift baskets commonly cost from 300,000 VND to over 2 million VND, depending on the number of flowers and the level of intricacy.

In addition, on this occasion, many supermarkets, shopping centers and stores specializing in fashion, cosmetics and jewelry have also launched various promotional programs and incentives for women.

At Co.opmart Dong Xoai (Binh Phuoc ward), the supermarket launched the program “Celebrating March 8 - Beautiful Deals for Her” for categories such as cosmetics, makeup, women’s body wash, skincare and personal care, with discounts of up to 50%. In addition, special promotions are also offered for women on household appliances, garments and other products.

At Co.opmart Dong Phu (Dong Phu commune), on the occasion of International Women’s Day, many cosmetics, personal care and fashion items are discounted on March 7 and 8. Notably, the first 30 female member customers each day with purchase receipt of 1.1 million VND or more will receive gifts.

According to Vu Thanh Tan, a representative of the Communications Department of Central Retail Group in Vietnam - the unit managing the GO! supermarket chain nationwide - on the occasion of the day, the GO! supermarket system launched a large-scale promotion program with the message “March 8 - Go to GO! for great gifts - amazing deals.” The program runs until March 11, offering attractive discounts of up to 49% on beauty and body care products.
