Reporting at the working session, a representative of the provincial Land Fund Development Center stated that, under the decision of the Provincial People's Committee on assigning socio-economic development targets and state budget estimates for 2026, the center has been designated as the investor for nine projects with a total planned capital of over 5 trillion VND. These projects involve compensation, site clearance, and the construction of resettlement areas to serve development initiatives across the province. Among them are major provincial projects such as the North–South high-speed railway section passing through the province, the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 section within the province, and transport projects enhancing connectivity to Long Thanh International Airport. The provincial Land Fund Development Center has developed an implementation plan for these tasks.
Speaking at the session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized that compensation and site clearance must be given special priority, as without cleared land, projects cannot proceed. This challenge would negatively impact the province's goal of achieving double-digit growth in 2026 and hinder the disbursement of public investment capital.
Therefore, the provincial Land Fund Development Center and its branches must give the highest priority to compensation and site clearance for projects, followed by land auctions and land fund development.
Vice Chairman Ho Van Ha requested that the provincial Land Fund Development Center submit to the Department of Agriculture and Environment the plan for land auctions in the province in 2026 before February 14. At the same time, it must coordinate with relevant agencies to completely resolve outstanding site clearance bottlenecks at projects in the first quarter of 2026.
“For site clearance work, cadres and civil servants must go directly to construction sites, and not allow the situation of working only at desks, in air-conditioned offices, to recur”, Vice Chairman Ho Van Ha stressed.
