Opening ceremony of the Dong Nai Spring Press Festival for Tet 2026

On the morning of February 11, the Provincial Party Committee (PPC)’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Provincial Journalists Association, hosted the opening ceremony of the Dong Nai Spring Press Festival for the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse 2026 at the Dong Nai Provincial Library.

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Truong Son; Member of the PPC, Standing Deputy Head of the PPC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Thi Hong Trang; Member of the PPC, Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan; Chairman of the Dong Nai Journalists Association, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television Tran Nam Dong; along with representatives of provincial departments, agencies and leaders of Tran Bien Ward.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Member of the PPC, Standing Deputy Head of the PPC’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Thi Hong Trang emphasized that the Dong Nai Spring Press Festival is an annual cultural event organized during the traditional Tet, attracting journalists, artists, readers and local residents. The festival also serves as a cultural platform and a professional forum for journalists across the province.

The Dong Nai Spring Press Festival for Tet 2026 featured over 300 publications, encompassing books, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and special Tet editions produced by both local and external press agencies, as well as provincial departments and sectors. These featured works offer a comprehensive overview of the socio-economic accomplishments achieved nationwide and within localities throughout 2025.

The Dong Nai Spring Press Festival for Tet 2026 also features more than 50 exceptional photographs that showcase significant political, economic, and socio-cultural events from 2025. Additionally, 9 newsletters from 9 provincial departments and agencies are taking part in the Spring Newsletter Awards for the Year of the Horse 2026.

One of the main attractions at this year's festival is the online Spring Press Exhibition, which showcases 200 digitized Tet newspapers and magazines from national and local media. The digital format offers readers a modern experience, enabling easy access to spring publications anytime and anywhere through simple online navigation.

The exhibition will run until February 21 (the 5th day of Tet), welcoming visitors to explore both physical displays and online content.

At this event, the Organizing Committee presented certificates of merit from the Provincial People’s Committee to individuals and groups who won top prizes in the 5th Political Essay Contest on Protecting the Party’s Ideological Foundation in 2025. Awards were also given to units participating in the Spring Newsletter Awards. Furthermore, 12 prizes from the 6th Dong Nai Provincial Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards 2025 were presented, consisting of one A prize, two B prizes, three C prizes, and six Consolation prizes.

The A Prize was awarded to the author group, including Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, Dinh Thi Da Thy, Ngo Nguyen Chi Cuong, Dinh Tien Dung, Luu Quang Son, Nguyen Hoang Huan, Tran Thi Bich Tuyen and Do Thi Dieu Hien for the television work “Dong Nai joins the nation in entering a new era”.

Two B Prizes went to the author group Phan Thi Kim Ngan, Le Thuy Ha, Tran Thi Ngan Trieu and Nguyen Hoang Hai for the four-part online series “Digital Integrity – An Administration for the People,” and to the group Tran Thi Kieu Diem, Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, Le Thi Lien, Doan Thi Hang, Nguyen Trung Kien and Nguyen Huu Trung for the radio work “Dong Nai – From the spirit of the August Revolution to aspirations for future breakthroughs,” along with C Prizes and Consolation Prizes.
