According to a report by the Department of Finance, price management in the province has been implemented in a consistent and appropriate manner, in line with the organization of the two-tier local government model and the rearrangement of provincial-level administrative units.

The province has issued numerous guiding documents to monitor and urge the implementation of price management across the locality. Price stabilization efforts have been coordinated among departments and sectors, closely following market price developments in order to advise the province on appropriate stabilization measures. Production and business activities in the province have remained normal; purchasing power has been stable, and prices of essential goods have only increased slightly due to higher demand during holidays and Tet, with no cases of speculation or hoarding reported.

Local authorities have been implementing plans to inspect and control the market during the 2026 Lunar New Year. The focus is on preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit and low-quality goods, violations of food safety regulations, speculation, hoarding, and breaches of price regulations, while strictly handling violations in accordance with the law.

The working delegation requested the locality to continue strengthening price management, administration and stabilization. Priority should be given to closely monitoring price movements of essential goods and services serving Tet demand, such as food staples, fresh food, passenger transport, tourism and sightseeing, in order to promptly propose stabilization measures in accordance with regulations.

After working with relevant units, the working delegation conducted a survey at MM Mega Market Bien Hoa. The supermarket has increased its reserve scale by 10–30 percent compared to the previous year to meet consumer demand during the extended holiday period. Stockpiled dry goods and non-food items amount to around 30,000 tons, along with 2,800 tons of fresh food.

A representative of Mega Market Bien Hoa said that the supermarket is committed to fully implementing measures to avoid shortages and unreasonable price increases, especially during peak days approaching the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
