Rapid and practical task implementation
Vice Chairman of the An Phuoc Commune People’s Committee Doan Duc Thanh said that one of the three breakthrough tasks outlined in the Resolution of the An Phuoc Commune Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term is improving human resource quality and strengthening leadership and management officials’ capacity to meet task requirements in the new situation, contributing to the development of a streamlined, compact, strong, efficient, valid and effective contingent. The commune also aims to achieve urban status by 2030 while developing a highly skilled workforce to serve Long Thanh International Airport.
To implement this breakthrough task, the An Phuoc People’s Committee recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lilama 2 International Technology College in Long Phuoc Commune, Dong Nai province to provide vocational training for the locals.
Under the MoU, both sides will coordinate in providing career counseling and vocational orientation for local youth seeking career changes. Participants may register for and select one of the training programs offered by the college, which will also ensure job placement after graduation.
Demobilized soldiers originating from An Phuoc who enroll in short-term industrial electricity or welding programs receive full tuition and monthly financial support in accordance with state regulations, along with guaranteed employment upon completion. The college will also offer a 75% tuition reduction for local students in high-demand fields such as industrial electricity, metal cutting, mechanical equipment manufacturing, and welding technology, with job placement guaranteed after graduation. Each year, the college collaborates with businesses to provide training and facilitate opportunities for college graduates to work in Japan.
When effectively implemented, the program is expected to create new and practical pathways for improving technical skills and expanding sustainable employment opportunities for the locals.
Given that Phuoc An Commune lies within the growth driving zone surrounding Long Thanh Airport, the Resolution of the Phuoc An Commune Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term identifies key growth drivers, including Long Thanh Airport, Phuoc An Seaport, industrial parks, interregional transport routes, and river transport systems.
Deputy Secretary of the Phuoc An Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People’s Committee Huynh Minh Duc said that to operate the two-level local government model effectively and implement the Resolution of the Phuoc An Commune Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, the entire cadres, civil servants and public employees of Phuoc An Commune have demonstrated strong commitment and dedication, working beyond regular hours to complete tasks. As a result, 100% of targets set for 2025 were achieved or exceeded, including several challenging and new initiatives. Notably, state budget revenue reached 421% of the provincial target. The commune also completed land allocation and leasing procedures for key socio-economic development projects, including three social housing projects and one industrial park. In addition, it finalized the approval of the Phuoc An 1 subdivision planning to facilitate land-use rights auctions and completed land clearance for major infrastructure projects such as Ring Road 3 and Phuoc An Bridge. These projects are expected to provide significant competitive advantages for the locality.
Striving for advancement
On the journey with the entire province to build a wealthy, civilized, and modern Dong Nai, Thanh Son commune – a remote area of the province – the Party committees, authorities, and political system of the commune has been striving every day to implement programs and projects aimed at improving residents’ livelihoods.
Comrade Vo Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Son Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People’s Committee, noted that agriculture remains the primary economic activity in this predominantly rural area, where over 70% of households rely on farming. However, agricultural production is often fragmented, with limited technical cooperation among farmers.
Following the 2025–2030 Commune Party Congress, the Standing Committee of the Commune People’s Committee organized meetings with business households and successful farmers to gather feedback and proposals related to agricultural production and processing.
Based on the people's proposals, the Standing Committee of Thanh Son Commune People's Committee has outlined orientations such as: planning cultivation and livestock breeding areas suitable to the local situation; connecting businesses to find new high-quality breeds and secure market access for the commune's agricultural products. Authorities are also encouraging the adoption of scientific and technological advancements and digital transformation in production, as well as a shift towards sales through e-commerce platforms, particularly for organic and specialty products, to help establish local agricultural branding and expand market access.
Currently, Thanh Son Commune has two One Commune, One Product (OCOP) items certified at the 3-star level (including Lamoi-Pro jelly leaf powder and five-bean powder), along with several other specialty products. Every Monday morning, the commune’s Public Administrative Service Center displays locally produced natural health products, helping residents access quality goods while strengthening connections between producers and the community.
To practically support people’s livelihoods and provide sustainable income opportunities for disadvantaged households, local authorities have mobilized businesses to donate breeding chickens to families in Hamlet 3 and Hamlet 5, bringing great joy to local residents. Each participating household receives 50 breeding chickens, disease-prevention vaccines, and 50 kilograms of feed.
After the merger, Dak Nhau commune has notable advantages, including a large land area, rich natural resources suitable for developing agriculture, forestry, ecotourism, and rural services, as well as abundant labor force. The transportation system is being invested in and connected. The united multi-ethnic community, rich in cultural traditions, provides favorable conditions for building an advanced new-style rural model with sustainable cultural identity.
At a meeting with provincial leaders throughout different periods on January 27, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Party Central Committee Member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council, stated that to realize the vision of a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern Dong Nai, the province has identified 23 major programs and schemes, along with 46 key works and flagship projects. These efforts are being implemented alongside core strategic tasks that serve as foundational and driving factors with widespread impact, helping Dong Nai maintain its position as a dynamic growth locality, making positive contributions to the country’s overall development.
Based on this orientation, the Dak Nhau Commune Party Committee has set its own priorities, including high-tech and organic agriculture, value chain-based production linked with digital transformation in management and marketing, professional training in digital skills and public administration for officials, and planning for trade and service development to attract small and medium-sized enterprises investing in agricultural processing and construction materials…
Comrade Nguyen Trong Lam, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Council of Dak Nhau Commune, said that in 2025 the commune’s total cultivation area exceeded 12,200 hectares, while livestock farming continued to develop steadily. Sustainable agricultural production models have been maintained, with priority given to expanding high-value crops such as rubber and coffee and promoting industrial-scale livestock farming…
The implementation of Party Congress resolutions at all levels is being actively carried out by Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, and members, particularly heads of the agencies who are upholding an exemplary spirit and transforming policy decisions into concrete actions, which will certainly help build a sustainable value system for this region in the new era.
