300 Tet gift packages presented to disadvantaged households in Xuan Loc and Xuan Thanh communes

On February 7, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized the program titled “Zero-VND Market - Spring of Compassion in the Year of the Horse 2026”. The program was held in coordination with the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dong Nai Province to take care of poor and disadvantaged households in Xuan Loc and Xuan Thanh communes during the upcoming Tet holiday.

Le Thi Thai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; Most Venerable Thich Tam Minh, Deputy Head of the Provincial Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; and Venerable Thich Hue Quang, Member of the Provincial Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha were present at the event.

The program provided 300 Lunar New Year (Tet) gift packages to disadvantaged residents, including 200 distributed in Xuan Loc Commune and 100 in Xuan Thanh Commune. Each package contained essential goods for the Tet holiday, helping to ease difficulties faced by poor, near-poor, and especially vulnerable households in the area.

Speaking at the event, Le Thi Thai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization emphasized that the “Zero-VND Market - Spring of Compassion” initiative carries strong humanitarian value, helping spread the spirit of compassion, community responsibility, and collective efforts in ensuring social welfare. The program aims to help disadvantaged families enjoy a warmer and more fulfilling Tet celebration. She also expressed gratitude to the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, monks, nuns, Buddhist followers, and benefactors for their active contributions and cooperation, while expressing hope for continued support to organize more meaningful activities for disadvantaged residents across the province.

The “Zero-VND Market - Spring of Compassion in the Year of the Horse 2026” program is among the province’s key Tet care initiatives for the poor, contributing to the effective implementation of social welfare policies during the traditional Tet.
