Reunion meal with a Vietnamese Heroic Mother

Within the framework of the Spring Volunteer Campaign 2026, on the morning of January 23, the Vietnam Student Association of Dong Nai Province and the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Youth Union of Tan Trieu Ward to organize activities in which union members, young people, association members, and students cleaned the house, decorated for Tet, and held a reunion meal at the home of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Vang in Tan Trieu Ward.

Taking part in the program, from early morning, union members, young people, association members, and students in Tan Trieu Ward as well as from universities and colleges across the province actively purchased food and fruit, prepared ingredients, cooked, and arranged a meal tray to offer incense in tribute to fallen soldiers and to share the meal with Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Vang.

In addition, union members, young people, association members, and students cleaned the martyrs’ altar and the living space of the Vietnamese Heroic Mother in preparation for welcoming the 2026 Lunar New Year (Year of the Horse). To further enhance the Tet atmosphere at Mother Ho Thi Vang's home, the participants also decorated the space with traditional Tet items.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association of Dong Nai Province also visited, inquired after the Vietnamese Heroic Mother, and presented gifts. Along with asking about her health and daily life, representatives of the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Student Association expressed their deep gratitude for the sacrifices of heroic martyrs and the significant contributions of the Vietnamese Heroic Mother to the cause of national liberation and reunification. They also wished her good health, happiness, and continued strength, so that she might remain a source of spiritual support for her children and grandchildren.
