On the afternoon of January 24, Colonel Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Naval Region 2 Command and Head of Working Delegation No. 1, visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to officers and soldiers on duty aboard ship 637 of Brigade 127, Naval Region 5.

Ship 637 is on duty safeguarding sovereignty at the Ca Mau shoal and performing other tasks, including providing support and conducting search and rescue operations for fishermen at sea. Although unable to celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families, the officers and soldiers aboard Ship 637 remain committed, responsible, and determined to fulfill all assigned missions.

Colonel Pham Tien Dung, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Naval Region 2 Command, said that amid the nationwide atmosphere in joyful preparation for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2026 (the Year of the Horse) and in celebration of the success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the working delegation extended New Year greetings and conveyed the sentiments and gifts from the Naval Region 2 Command and civil, governmental, and Party agencies to the officers and soldiers of Ship 637.

In recent times, the officers and soldiers of Ship 637 have carried out their missions over an extended period under challenging weather conditions. The working delegation wished the officers and soldiers of Ship 637 continued unity, good health, resilience in overcoming difficulties, and success in fulfilling all assigned tasks.
