More than 1,400 students and teachers in Long Thanh commune take part in fire prevention and evacuation drills

On January 17, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Police coordinated the organization of an experiential activity and awareness program on fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue skills for more than 1,400 students and teachers of Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School in Long Thanh commune.

At the program, Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 3 provided practical information on fire and explosion prevention in schools, households, and workplaces. The functional forces also issued warnings about the risk of drowning while swimming or bathing in ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams, especially during times when students participate in outdoor activities.

In addition, students and teachers were instructed on initial response measures in the event of a fire, how to use on-site firefighting equipment, and skills for raising the alarm, evacuating safely and promptly, and notifying the relevant authorities promptly.

As part of the program, students had the opportunity to visit specialized vehicles and equipment used in fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations. In particular, the functional forces provided detailed introductions and explanations of specialized fire trucks, helping students better understand the responsibilities of professional firefighting forces.

Through the program, students and teachers were equipped with additional knowledge and essential skills to protect themselves, respond proactively to emergencies, and evacuate safely in the event of an incident, contributing to greater community awareness of fire prevention and firefighting.

 In the time ahead, the functional forces will continue working with schools across the province to organize similar experiential activities, helping to spread fire prevention and firefighting awareness among students and teachers.
