Lam Dong inaugurates, hands over houses to households under Quang Trung Campaign

On the morning of January 10, in Cat Tien commune, Lam Dong province, the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command held a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over houses to local households affected by flooding in Lam Dong province. The program was carried out under the fast-track 30-day Quang Trung Campaign to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

The ceremony was attended by comrades: Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Hieu, Deputy Head of the Barracks Department under the Logistics–Technical Department of Military Region 7; Colonel Bui Van Sy, Standing Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; Colonel Nguyen Danh Trang, Head of the Political Department of the Provincial Military Command; along with other delegates.

Reporting on the implementation of tasks under the fast-track Quang Trung Campaign, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thuan, Deputy Head of the Logistics–Technical Department of the Provincial Military Command, said that in response to the Quang Trung Campaign launched by the Prime Minister under the theme “Rapidly repairing and rebuilding houses for people affected by natural disasters,” and following the direction of the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 7, on December 9, 2025, the Provincial Military Command conducted surveys and developed a plan to establish a task force comprising 38 officers and soldiers, equipped with various vehicles and construction equipment.

On December 11, 2025, the Provincial Military Command assigned tasks to the task force and launched the emulation campaign titled “30 Days and Nights of Rapid Action, One Person Working as Two.” The task force then mobilized to Hamlet 14, Cat Tien commune, Lam Dong province, to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities in building a new house for the family of Pham Van Hai.

The single-storey house has a floor area of over 135 square meters, comprising one living room, three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a toilet. It is built with a solid structure, including reinforced concrete foundations, columns, beams, and tie beams, brick walls, and a metal-sheet roof. The total construction cost amounts to 800 million VND. Of this, the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee contributed 120 million VND; Vingroup provided 60 million VND; the family contributed 220 million VND in counterpart funding; and the Provincial Military Command contributed 1,140 workdays, equivalent to 400 million VND.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Colonel Bui Van Sy, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, praised the task force for its solidarity and determination in overcoming difficulties, completing the assignment five days ahead of schedule. He also stated that the officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai provincial armed forces extend their warm regards and deepest sympathy to the families affected by the natural disasters.

As part of the Quang Trung Campaign launched by the Prime Minister, in recent days, the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command have directed the swift mobilization of officers and soldiers to urgently repair and rebuild a house for the family of Pham Van Hai in hamlet 14, Nam Cat Tien commune, Lam Dong province. The house has been newly rebuilt to be spacious and sturdy, helping the family settle down, earn a stable livelihood, and quickly stabilize their lives.
