In 2025, Dong Nai’s per capita GRDP estimated at 150.86 million VND

On January 6, the Dong Nai Statistics Office issued a press release on the province's socio-economic situation in 2025.

According to the report, the provincial economy in 2025 maintained positive growth momentum, with production and business activities gradually recovering and developing. Many enterprises secured large-volume orders, while some signed production contracts that extended into the following year. Export markets and prices were more favourable than the previous year. The cultural, social, and social welfare sectors were implemented in a coordinated manner, and local residents' living standards gradually improved.

Specifically, in 2025, the province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) grew by 9.63% year-on-year, exceeding the target assigned by the Government’s Resolution (8.5%) by 1.13 percentage points, marking the highest level of outperformance nationwide. Per capita GRDP in 2025 at current prices was estimated at 150.86 million VND.

In the economic sector, the province’s industrial production index (IIP) in 2025 was estimated to increase by 15.22% compared with 2024. Total realised social investment capital at current prices was estimated at more than 180.5 trillion VND, up 12.12% year-on-year. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue were estimated at 465.8 trillion VND, up 18.64% from 2024.

Export turnover was estimated at 34.6 billion USD, up 16.23% from 2024, while import turnover reached an estimated 23.8 billion USD, up 14.25%. In 2025, Dong Nai recorded an estimated trade surplus of approximately 10.7 billion USD. From the beginning of 2025 to December 20, foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction reached more than 3.2 billion USD, while domestic investment exceeded 172.9 trillion VND.

Regarding the social sector, cultural and social activities, as well as social security policies, continued to be implemented strongly and achieved significant results, contributing to improved living conditions for residents. The average population of Dong Nai province in 2025 was estimated at 4.49 million, up 1.49% from 2024. The number of employed persons aged 15 and above was estimated at 2.43 million, up 0.56% year-on-year. During last year, approximately 131,000 jobs were created, exceeding the 2025 plan by 5%.

According to Cao Dang Vien, Head of the Dong Nai Statistics Office, overall, in 2025, the province's socio-economic situation achieved many positive and comprehensive results across most sectors. Economic growth remained high, surpassing the Government's targets; the economic structure shifted in a positive direction, with industry and services continuing to drive growth. Cultural and social affairs, education, healthcare, and social welfare received due attention. At the same time, the material and spiritual lives of the people continued to improve, and national defence, security and social order were maintained.
