On the morning of January 5, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee chaired and organized the regular January 2026 Party cell meeting across the province. The session was broadcast live on television and livestreamed on the platforms of Dong Nai Newspaper, Dong Nai Radio and Television.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Tran Trung Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Nguyen Thi Hong Trang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head in charge of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission of the Provincial Party Committee; along with leaders and Party members of Party commissions and the Office of the Provincial Party Committee.

At the meeting, Truong Thi Huong Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Finance, presented information on Dong Nai’s socio-economic situation and national defense and security in 2025, as well as orientations and tasks for 2026.

Accordingly, Dong Nai is currently one of the localities with the largest economic scale in the country. In 2025, the province’s economic size exceeded 677 trillion VND, ranking fourth nationwide, while GRDP per capita reached 150.86 million VND by 2025.

Dong Nai possesses all five modes of transportation: road, air, rail, maritime, and inland waterways. The most prominent are Long Thanh International Airport and 10 expressways with a total length of nearly 400 kilometers.

At present, 51 countries and territories have investment projects in Dong Nai Province, with total registered capital of 43.41 billion USD, involving major corporations from the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. Newly licensed projects apply modern technologies, generate high added value, and fall within priority sectors and fields for provincial development.

To date, Dong Nai has planned 81 industrial parks with a total area of more than 39,000 hectares; one high-tech park and one economic zone. Of these, 58 industrial parks have been established, with 43 currently in operation.

The province has more than one million hectares of agricultural land with many key crops such as cashew, rubber, pomelo, durian, banana, and specialty products bearing geographical indications.

Under the close, resolute, and flexible leadership and direction of the Standing Board and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, in 2025 Dong Nai achieved and exceeded 28 out of 30 targets set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee.

In economic terms, the gross regional domestic product of the province increased by 9.63 % compared with 2024. Although this fell short of the 10 % target set under the resolution of the Provincial Party Committee and assigned by the Provincial People’s Council, compared with the Government-assigned target of 8.5 %, the province’s growth rate in 2025 exceeded the target by 1.13 percentage points, making it the leading province nationwide in terms of fulfillment of the Government-assigned growth target, while also ranking seventh nationwide in GRDP growth rate and leading the Southeast region.

The year 2025 also marked the first time Dong Nai’s total state budget revenue surpassed the threshold of 100 trillion VND. Notably, in 2025 the province created a breakthrough by successfully organizing large-scale land auctions, contributing a substantial source of revenue to the provincial budget.

Thanks to state budget revenue exceeding the set targets, the province ensured sufficient resources to carry out budget expenditure tasks, meeting the requirements for socio-economic development, national defense and security, and state management. At the same time, it ensured the payment of salaries and social allowances, took care of policy beneficiaries, allocated resources for the development of science and technology, digital transformation, and organizational restructuring, and implemented the two-tier local government model.

The disbursement of public investment capital was given strong attention. Key and major projects were implemented in a focused manner with many innovative solutions and effective approaches, creating breakthrough momentum to promote economic growth.

In particular, in 2025 Dong Nai was honored to receive General Secretary To Lam, who visited and worked with agencies and units at Long Thanh International Airport. The province’s key and strategic proposals were listened to and approved in principle by General Secretary To Lam. This constitutes an extremely important political foundation for the province to formulate and propose resolutions on a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Dong Nai.

Cultural and social affairs were also given due attention and achieved many positive results.

For 2026, Dong Nai Province has identified 36 targets for socio-economic development and national defense and security, including: 8 economic targets (of which GRDP growth is set at 10 %; GRDP per capita at current prices is targeted to reach 179.2 million VND; the growth rate of state budget revenue compared with 2025 is projected at 10–12 %, etc.); 19 cultural and social targets; 6 environmental targets; and 3 targets related to national defense, security, and social order.

At the same time, the province has identified a number of key tasks for 2026, such as continuing to concretize and resolutely implement the resolutions and action programs of the Provincial Party Congress; focusing on the effective implementation of the identified breakthrough programs, plans, and tasks; and organizing the synchronized and effective implementation of seven important resolutions of the Politburo. The province will also strictly implement tasks and solutions to carry out the directives and conclusions of the General Secretary as stated in Notice No. 420-TB/VPTW of the Party Central Office, with a focus on reviewing and adjusting provincial planning to ensure alignment with the national master plan, sectoral plans, and regional plans.
