According to the tax sector’s assessment, in 2025, socio-economic conditions across localities under its management recorded many positive and relatively comprehensive results in various fields. Industrial production, particularly the processing and manufacturing sector, maintained stable growth. At the same time, as a result of administrative boundary mergers, revenue from land-use fees among residents increased, contributing to making state budget revenue meet and exceed the statutory targets as well as rise significantly compared to the same period last year.

In particular, by the end of 2025, the tax sector had implemented Project 420 on reforming and improving the quality of tax administration for household businesses. The Dong Nai Provincial Tax Department focused on rolling out the project across the province and recorded positive results, with all indicators rising sharply compared to 2024.

Entering 2026, the tax sector will continue to focus on implementing revenue collection solutions and tasks right from the very beginning of the year. It will assess the impact of new policies and assign 2026 revenue targets to each department and local tax office, ensuring both feasibility and a level of challenge. The sector will strengthen management to prevent revenue losses, address tax arrears, control tax refunds, and closely monitor and accurately forecast revenue by locality and tax category. Potential revenue sources and areas with remaining revenue leakage will be identified in order to promptly propose effective solutions.
Addressing the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long called on the Dong Nai tax sector to focus on effectively implementing several key tasks in 2026. These include strengthening communication and support for taxpayers, fully and promptly rolling out the Government’s support policies, and creating favorable conditions for businesses to recover and expand production and business activities, thereby nurturing sustainable and long-term state budget revenue sources.
He also called for the decisive implementation of revenue management measures from the start of the year; proactive review and mobilization of potential revenue sources to ensure accurate, sufficient and timely collection; and stronger inspection and supervision to prevent budget revenue losses. Priority should be given to high-risk sectors and activities such as e-commerce, online business, real estate transfers and petroleum trading. He stressed the need for strict control over tax refunds and firm handling of violations of tax laws, as well as effective management of revenue related to key projects, particularly Long Thanh International Airport, energy projects and large-scale construction investments in the province. In addition, he urged stronger coordination with departments, sectors and localities in managing land-related revenues and other arising sources of income.
At the conference, Vu Chi Hung, Deputy Director General of the Department of Taxation, urged the Dong Nai tax sector to continue its efforts, remain proactive, and closely monitor developments to effectively carry out tax administration tasks in 2026. He emphasized the need to focus on several key tasks and solutions, including strictly following directives from the Government, the Ministry of Finance, the Tax Department, and the Provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee to implement revenue management measures in a decisive and coordinated manner. He also called for stronger communication, information dissemination, and effective implementation of new tax policies taking effect in 2026, so that policies are put into practice in a timely manner. This would help support taxpayers in expanding production and business activities, promote high economic growth, create and nurture sustainable state budget revenue sources, and contribute to fulfilling the province’s budget revenue targets for 2026 and the 2026–2030 period.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals, including leaders, officials and civil servants of the provincial tax sector, were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People’s Committee and commendations from the tax sector for their outstanding performance in 2025.
