With just over one month remaining until the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, this period marks the peak production season for many enterprises in Dong Nai as they strive to meet the sharp rise in market demand during the Tet holiday. To keep pace with production schedules, factories and workshops across the province are filled with an atmosphere of urgency and vibrancy, as workers step up their efforts more than ever.

The lively spirit of workers, blended with cheerful conversations echoing through production workshops, creates a vivid and energetic picture of labor.

Bustling production in factories

Topband Smart Dong Nai Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh Commune), a company specializing in electronic component manufacturing, currently employs approximately 3,000 workers. These days, the company has ramped up production as orders for 2026 pour in. As a result, employees throughout the company are busier than ever, eager to increase their income. Nguyen Thi Cam Ngan, a worker at the company, shared that year-end orders are plentiful, motivating workers to put in extra effort to earn additional income to prepare for Tet. “The common mindset among many workers is to accelerate during this period to boost income and prepare for a more prosperous Tet,” Ngan said.

According to Ly Suong Tuyet, Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union at Topband Smart Dong Nai Vietnam Co., Ltd., the company’s production activities increased in 2025, resulting in a high volume of orders that provided stable employment and income for workers. The company is currently building its second-phase factory, which is expected to begin operations in 2026. With the expanded scale, it plans to recruit around 2,000 additional workers. For Lunar New Year 2026, the trade union has prepared practical gifts for employees. The company will also organize a year-end celebration, a lucky draw, and an appreciation event. Additionally, the trade union is negotiating a reasonable Tet bonus and will announce it to workers shortly.

A similarly vibrant working atmosphere can be seen at Lixil Global Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Duc Industrial Park, Binh An Commune). On the production lines, workers are cheerful and motivated, not only because orders are steady, but also because their income in 2025 has improved significantly. Moreover, the company’s favorable welfare policies and the strong support of the trade union serve as necessary incentives, encouraging workers to stay committed and boost productivity during the final days of 2025 and the early days of 2026.

Having worked at Lixil Global Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. for over 10 years, Nguyen Thi Sao said she is satisfied with the safe working environment, the company’s positive culture, and the respect and understanding shown by its leadership toward workers. “At the company, we are guided by work attitudes, codes of conduct, and, above all, how to support one another to progress together. This endeavor helps each worker mature, strengthen their skills, and strive harder. In addition, good welfare policies motivate us to perform well and actively participate in production emulation movements,” Sao shared.

To meet delivery schedules, enterprises have proactively developed flexible production plans, arranging overtime and extra shifts in a manner that is reasonable and effective. As a result, workers have become increasingly busy, making the most of every working hour to fulfill their tasks and increase their earnings. Some companies have introduced bonuses for completing 2025 production targets to encourage employees’ efforts, while also recognizing long-serving workers with well-deserved rewards. These measures help maintain stable production momentum and retain workers before and after the Lunar New Year.

Racing to fulfill early-year orders

Observations of production activities at enterprises across the province reveal an overall picture of workers accelerating their pace. Many companies in consumer goods, textiles and garments, footwear, electronics, and other sectors have seen year-end 2025 orders rise by 20–40% compared to previous months. With market prospects expected to remain positive during the year-end shopping season, enterprises plan to maintain high capacity at least through the first quarter of 2026 to clear backlogged orders and meet growing demand from international partners.

This year-end and early-year sprint not only helps companies achieve their production and business targets, but also creates more jobs and raises workers’ incomes. According to businesses, stepping up production at the beginning of the year is not only about meeting deadlines, but also about proactively preparing for orders serving the extended Tet holiday period, thereby avoiding disruptions to partners’ supply chains.

Enterprises are also focusing on improving working conditions, ensuring wages, bonuses, meals, and occupational safety. Ishii Hideharu, Director of Human Resources and Administration at Lixil Global Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., stated that in recognition of workers' diligence and sense of responsibility, the company will apply a Tet bonus scheme based on total salary for Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, with specific amounts determined by employee performance ratings. Regarding the Tet bonus payment schedule, the company will pay 1.5 months’ salary in advance of Tet. After Tet, depending on business results, the minimum bonus will be 0.5 months' salary. In addition, the company will implement annual salary increases in accordance with the fiscal year roadmap in April 2026.

With responsibility, diligence, and strong determination, workers in Dong Nai are playing a vital role in driving production growth, contributing to the province’s socio-economic stability and development.

According to Ishii Hideharu, in addition to Tet bonuses, the company and its grassroots trade union will also distribute Tet gifts and connect employees with discounted sales from their preferred brands. Notably, a large-scale year-end party will be held, featuring cultural performances and lively lucky draws as a practical gesture of appreciation to all employees. In coordination with the Provincial Federation of Labor, the company will also implement key programs such as the “Trade Union Train” and the “Trade Union Tet Market 2026,” helping workers shop for Tet necessities and return home to reunite with their families.

The enthusiastic working atmosphere in the early days of the year is helping bring workers a hopeful new spring, signaling a promising year ahead. Enterprises in Dong Nai expect that in 2026, workers will continue to maintain a stable work rhythm, accompanying businesses toward the goal of sustainable development.

According to the Provincial Federation of Labor, as of now, the labor, employment, and labor relations situation in Dong Nai remains relatively stable. The bustling production activities at the start of the year not only reflect the diligence of workers but also highlight the effectiveness of support policies implemented by enterprises, trade unions, and local authorities. Trade unions at all levels are ramping up Tet care initiatives, creating favorable conditions for workers to feel secure in their jobs and enjoy a joyful and prosperous Tet.
