Kieu Thi Nhung, Head of the Trung Son Hamlet Women’s Union, shared that most members are Cho Ro ethnic residents living at the foot of Chua Chan Mountain. Despite their own economic difficulties, their spirit of solidarity remains strong. To raise funds for the cake-making activity, the women contributed money to buy rice, meat, and beans, while male villagers helped collect banana and dong leaves and firewood from the fields. The atmosphere during cake wrapping was vibrant; even women over 70 years old joined enthusiastically to ensure the cakes could be delivered with the relief convoy on November 29.
The items prepared by the Trung Son Hamlet Women’s Union included nearly 300 banh tet, 140 banh chung, 100 boxes of instant noodles, canned foods, and bottled water.
Each parcel embodies the affection and sharing of the ethnic community of Trung Son Hamlet and the wider Xuan Loc Commune, joining hands with people across the country to support those enduring the devastating impacts of the historic flooding.
