This year’s festive decoration market offers a wide variety of new designs and products. Notably, items manufactured and supplied by Vietnamese enterprises have increasingly gained a competitive advantage and are becoming the preferred choice of many consumers.
A vibrant market with diverse product ranges
Many supermarkets, shopping centres, and decoration stores in central wards and major urban areas of the province have begun displaying and selling Christmas and New Year products since November. Items such as Christmas trees, lights, garlands, bells, and greeting cards come in a wide range of designs, sizes, and price points. Vietnamese-made products account for a significantly higher proportion compared with previous years.
Domestic manufacturers are increasingly focusing on improving material quality, design, and creativity, enabling products to meet the growing expectations of consumers, particularly younger buyers.

According to the reporter's observations, Christmas trees range from several hundred thousand dong to several million dong per tree, with those measuring 0.6 to 1.2 metres proving the most popular. Decorative items such as baubles, pinecones, and wreaths range from 40,000 to 200,000 dong per pack, depending on type. Tinsel garlands are priced from 10,000 to 50,000 dong each; decorative lights range from 70,000 to 300,000 dong per string; greeting cards cost between 8,000 and 30,000 dong apiece; while festive cups and glasses range from 40,000 to 100,000 dong each. Fresh scented pine trees (60–80 cm) are also available, priced between 120,000 and 200,000 dong per tree.
Le Duc Thuan, Director of Lotte Mart Dong Nai in Long Binh Ward, noted that the supermarket has been operating its Christmas and New Year decoration section for nearly a month. The product range is extensive, with most items manufactured domestically.
Do Doan Thanh, Head of Marketing at Co.opmart Dong Xoai in Binh Phuoc Ward, added that the store’s Christmas and New Year decoration section is now open for sales. Currently, customer demand for these decoration items is around 80–90% of the same period last year. The supermarket is expected to enter the peak season for Christmas and New Year decoration items next week, with Vietnamese-made products such as cards and stuffed toys occupying a high proportion of shelf space.
Similarly, Nguyen Duong The Kiet from Kohnan Bien Hoa Supermarket reported that the supermarket has been operating a booth selling Christmas and New Year decorative products since mid-November. Currently, demand for and the number of customers buying these decorative items are quite high, especially for products such as Christmas-themed cups, stuffed toys, Christmas trees, decorative accessories, and candy... Vietnamese-made goods currently account for over 90% of all Christmas and New Year decoration products sold at the supermarket.
Vietnamese products increasingly favoured by consumers
To stimulate consumer demand, supermarkets have introduced a range of promotional programmes and discounts this Christmas season, encouraging shoppers to purchase festive products and services.

Nguyen Ky Hiep, Director of MM Mega Market Bien Hoa in Tran Bien Ward, said the supermarket has launched a wide range of promotional campaigns featuring Christmas trees, decorative items, accessories, and stuffed toys. Products are available in various designs and include both domestic and imported goods. Among these, Vietnamese-made items such as festive cups, glasses, towels, and greeting cards hold a dominant position. Purchases of these items have risen by approximately 30% year-on-year.
In recent years, the Christmas season, followed closely by the New Year holiday, has become one of the most anticipated periods for shoppers as homes, streets, companies, and retail spaces are decorated to create a vibrant and festive ambience. This trend encourages businesses, supermarkets, and shops to develop unique, creative products that cater to both individual consumers and commercial spaces such as restaurants, cafés, and retail outlets. Vietnamese-made products are increasingly being selected thanks to their improved quality and competitive pricing.
Do Doan Thanh added that domestic manufacturers have continued enhancing the quality and design of festive decoration products. Stuffed toys, LED light strings, baubles, and tinsel now come in a wider variety of styles, sizes, and colours to attract consumers.
Thu Thao, a resident of Trang Dai Ward, shared that during Christmas and New Year's celebrations each year, she usually looks for and buys various decoration products, such as Christmas trees, baubles, reindeer figures, LED garlands, gift boxes, and Santa figurines, to decorate her home. She noted that the market for these products has grown increasingly diverse, with domestically produced items appearing more frequently on shelves. They feature competitive designs and quality compared to many imported lines, and are priced appropriately to cater to a wide range of consumer segments.
