On the morning of December 12, the Ritual Committee of Tan Lan Communal House (Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province) held the opening ceremony of the Tan Lan Communal House Ky Yen Festival to mark the 305th anniversary of the death of Duke Tran Thuong Xuyen (1720–2025).

The festival takes place over 2 days, December 12th and 13th (corresponding to the 23rd and 24th of the tenth lunar month), with many traditional rituals such as: Inviting the Deity's Decree on a Processional Tour, inviting the sacrificial animal, the preliminary announcement (Tiên yết), performing the Great Ceremony (Xây chầu đại bội), embodying the moral principle of “drinking water, remembering its source”.

Alongside the ritual activities, the festival section took place in a lively atmosphere with performances of lion, dragon, and unicorn dances, classical opera (tuong co), and more. A large number of residents and tourists, both within and outside the province, attended the event.

The 2025 Ky Yen Festival of Tan Lan Communal House is an occasion to commemorate Duke Tran Thuong Xuyen, who made significant contributions to pioneering and developing the Dong Nai – Gia Dinh region. The festival also helps promote the image of the Tan Lan Communal House, a national-level historical and architectural relic and a cultural destination in Tran Bien Ward.
