Proud of serving as a Party member at an FDI company

Alongside hundreds of delegates representing trade unions at all levels across the province, Nguyen Kim Thanh Thuy, a young Party member and Executive Committee member of the grassroots Trade Union at Leader Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. (Song May Industrial Park, Binh Minh Commune), will participate in the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

Thuy, the sole Party member from the company nominated by the grassroots Trade Union to attend the congress, carrying with her a sense of pride for herself and for all the workers at her workplace.

Persistent effort and striving for success

Leader Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., a Singapore-invested company, is home to a dynamic workforce of young employees working in a modern, fast-paced industrial environment. Thuy’s nomination to the Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union Congress underscores her dedication and achievements, both professionally and in union activities.

Positioned in the import-export department, Thuy handles tasks that demand precision, discipline, and a deep understanding of legal procedures. She approaches her work with professionalism, initiative, and accountability, knowing that every document, customs process, and material shipment directly affects production schedules and the company’s reputation. “I consider excelling in my professional duties is also my way of spreading the image of a Party member in a foreign-invested company,” Thuy said.

Beyond her professional achievements, Thuy also serves on the Executive Committee of the company’s grassroots Trade Union, recognized as a reliable bridge between employees and employer. In a foreign-invested company, where differences in culture, management processes, and expectations among parties often create gaps, the role of the Trade Union and those engaged in mobilization work like Thuy becomes even more crucial in ensuring effective communication and protecting workers’ interests.

Thuy plays an active role in programs supporting employee welfare, organizing workplace initiatives, visiting staff in difficult circumstances, and ensuring compliance with labor policies. She has also proposed many initiatives to help narrow the gap between employees and the employer, with her contributions clearly visible in company events, sports activities, and regular engagement sessions.

As a young party member, Thuy is always keenly aware of her pioneering and exemplary responsibilities. She has built trust through her commitment to political discipline, professional integrity, and a strong work ethic. “Being a party member means pushing myself further, contributing to collective efforts, and translating the Party’s values into meaningful, tangible actions for my colleagues,” she said.

Being nominated to attend the Provincial Trade Union Congress is a source of great pride for Thuy. She views it as an opportunity to gain insights into innovative union practices, enhance her skills in organizing workplace initiatives, and better address the needs of the growing young workforce in industrial zones. Thuy aims to apply the knowledge and experience she gains to strengthen union activities at her company and provide more practical support for its members.
