Dong Nai province is focusing on multiple solutions to bring its signature local products, including products from the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme onto e-commerce platforms and to promote trade through digital channels. At the same time, the province is implementing various training programmes and support activities to help local businesses and cooperatives promote OCOP products on online platforms.

Guiding OCOP stakeholders in online sales
In recent times, the Department of Industry and Trade has stepped up training programs on livestreaming skills, providing guidance for OCOP stakeholders, small and medium-sized enterprises, and cooperatives across the province to access, promote, and sell products on e-commerce platforms.
Tran Duong Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that amid the rapid development of e-commerce, the application of digital technology, particularly livestream sales, has become an inevitable trend, delivering practical results in product promotion and consumption. Acknowledging this importance, Dong Nai province has rolled out various policies and support activities to help local businesses and OCOP producers conduct livestream sales in particular, while promoting e-commerce channels more broadly.
The Department of Industry and Trade is always ready to accompany and support local businesses and OCOP entities throughout their digital transformation and brand development journey. We expect that through this program, OCOP entities and units with typical rural industrial products will be able to grasp new trends, improve their skills, confidently apply technology, enhance competitiveness, and, in particular, elevate Dong Nai’s products in both domestic and international markets.

These activities aim not only to equip producers and business operators with knowledge and skills in livestream selling, but also to create opportunities for OCOP products and the province’s typical rural industrial products to be widely introduced to consumers both inside and outside the province. Through this initiative, OCOP entities, enterprises, production facilities, and cooperatives with outstanding rural industrial products are supported in mastering skills to set up online storefronts, organize effective livestream sessions on reputable platforms such as TikTok Shop, apply cashless payment solutions, and implement professional logistics and customer care. At the same time, participants are given opportunities for hands-on practice and exchanges with experts to address difficulties in digital transformation and e-commerce application, as well as to directly conduct livestream sales and gain practical experience in product promotion and online business operations.
Tran Thi Kim Loan, Sales Director of An Khang One Member Limited Liability Company for Food Production and Processing (Long Thanh commune), said that the company currently has three product lines, including freeze-dried fruits, freeze-dried yogurt, and pure Robusta coffee. The company consistently prioritizes e-commerce as its main business model, actively leveraging digital technology to promote products to customers nationwide as well as international markets. Its promotional channels include e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok, and Facebook. Therefore, participating in e-commerce and livestream sales training programs helps improve promotional effectiveness and enhance sales skills in the digital environment.
Expanding promotion and product distribution channels
The province currently has about 490 OCOP products rated three stars or higher from 323 entities. Notably, in 2025, Dong Nai added six products with potential to achieve national five-star OCOP status. According to the Department of Industry and Trade, as of November 2025, the province recorded 443 outstanding rural industrial products at the provincial level, 99 at the regional level, and 51 at the national level. Of these, in 2025 alone, Dong Nai had six additional products and product sets recognized as outstanding rural industrial products at the national level.
According to Plan No. 127/KH-UBND issued by the provincial People’s Committee on the development of e-commerce in Dong Nai in 2025, four key priorities have been identified. These include building mechanisms and policies to support e-commerce development; developing infrastructure and support services for e-commerce; and training and developing human resources for e-commerce. The plan also emphasizes communication and awareness-raising to improve knowledge of e-commerce, as well as combating trade fraud, violations of intellectual property rights, and unfair competition in e-commerce activities.
Nguyen Van Kien, Chairman of the Tan Quan Commune Farmers’ Association, said that the commune currently has three OCOP-certified products: Quang Minh red-fleshed guava, Phu Xuan spring roll wrappers, and Nam Hoa Thanh salt-roasted cashew nuts. OCOP producers hope that departments and agencies will continue to expand training programs and provide guidance on promotion and business activities on e-commerce platforms. Support for participation in programs and activities aimed at improving sales skills and online product promotion will help local OCOP producers connect and expand markets, bring products closer to consumers, and contribute to efforts to upgrade product ratings.
Tran Thi Kim Loan said the company hopes that in the coming period, local authorities will further develop and improve the effectiveness of e-commerce platforms for Dong Nai’s products and specialties. She also called for more training programs to assist local businesses in e-commerce operations, as well as supporting connections with a high-quality KOC/KOL ecosystem to help local businesses develop effective livestream sales programs. In addition, the company hopes to participate in and connect with provincial e-commerce business networks to exchange experience and practical approaches to digital commerce.
