(ĐN) - On December 29, Dong Nai Power Company announced that at 5:00 p.m. on December 28, 2025, the branch connection project to the 110kV High-Tech Substation in Long Thanh Commune was officially energized and put into safe operation, thereby enhancing the power supply capacity for the Long Thanh area.

The project commenced on December 29, 2023, with a total investment of over 92 billion VND. It includes the construction of 12 new power poles and the renovation of one existing pole, along a 110kV transmission line approximately 1.7 kilometers in length, designed with double circuits. The line starts from the 110kV An Phuoc 2 – An Phuoc transmission line and ends at pole N 9, bordering the Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park. In addition, the project includes the renovation and upgrading of the existing 220kV transmission line that intersects the newly built 110kV line, along with several other critical technical components.
Dong Nai Power Company invests in the project to ensure power supply for the 110kV Substation of Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park, which has a capacity of 126 MVA. It is also intended to enhance the reliability and safety of the power supply, reduce technical losses in the regional grid, and meet the N-1 criterion in line with Vietnam Electricity (EVN) standards. At the same time, the project addresses the growing electricity demand of businesses operating in the Amata City Long Thanh Hi-tech Industrial Park, thereby contributing to improving power supply reliability for Long Thanh, an area experiencing rapid growth in industry, commerce, and services.

Long Thanh Commune and the surrounding areas are simultaneously implementing numerous large-scale projects, particularly industrial parks, urban areas, and transportation infrastructure. In this context, the power project is regarded as a vital foundation within the technical infrastructure system, ensuring that electricity development stays one step ahead, thereby creating favorable conditions for attracting investment and fostering sustainable development.
The successful energization of the project continues to affirm the power sector's role in working alongside local authorities to complete energy infrastructure, thereby contributing to the promotion of industrial development, enhancing competitiveness, and strengthening regional connectivity in the Long Thanh area in the years ahead.
