For the Election Boards for National Assembly deputies, each constituency establishes one Election Board with 9 to 17 members, including a Head, Deputy Heads, a Secretary, and Commissioners representing the Standing Committees of the People’s Council and People’s Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and other relevant organizations.

Election Boards for People’s Council deputies are formed in each local constituency, consisting of representatives from state agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, and social organizations.

At the provincial level, an election board includes 11 to 15 members, comprising a Head, Deputy Heads, a Secretary, and Commissioners.

At the commune level, an Election Board for People’s Council deputies consists of 9 to 15 members with the same structural roles.

Regarding election teams, each polling area in communes and wards establishes one team responsible for organizing voting for deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels.

Each election team includes 11 to 21 members, comprising a Head, a Secretary, and Commissioners representing state agencies, political and socio-political organizations, social organizations, and local voters.

Armed forces units designated as separate polling areas establish their own polling teams consisting of 5 to 9 members, including a Head, a Secretary, and Commissioners representing unit commanders and military personnel of the respective armed forces unit.

If an armed forces unit shares a polling area with a locality, the commune-level People’s Committee, after reaching an agreement with the Standing members of the People’s Council, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the same level, and the unit’s command, will establish a polling team of 11 to 21 members.

The plan outlines the projected allocation of National Assembly seats; the anticipated structure, composition, and distribution of nominees for People’s Council seats; the number of electoral constituencies; procedures for nomination, consultation, and selection of candidates for both National Assembly and People’s Council elections; the reception and review of candidate dossiers; and the compilation and publication of official candidate lists.

The Department of Home Affairs serves as the standing body of the Provincial Election Committee, responsible for receiving and addressing reports and feedback from localities. The department will operate during office hours from now until March 15, 2026, via telephone number 02513.942.639, and will operate 24/7 from March 15, 2026, until the committee certifies the election results. The elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026. This major political event holds significant national importance and is among the key tasks of the entire Party, people, and armed forces in 2026, taking place in the lead-up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The elections offer an opportunity to continue building, strengthening, and fine-tuning the socialist rule-of-law state “of the people, by the people, and for the people.
