Delivering direction at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that in 2026, MoST along with other ministries, sectors, and localities, must focus on directing and implementing core and key tasks.
Accordingly, it is necessary to clearly define roadmaps for priority and essential tasks to be prioritized, and to appropriately allocate resources for investment in infrastructure, data, strategic technologies, and high-quality human resources, while establishing effective control mechanisms to ensure efficiency in implementation. At the same time, MoST should closely coordinate with other ministries, sectors, and localities to tightly integrate science and technology with digital transformation and the implementation of Project 06/CP, placing enterprises at the center of the national innovation system.
