Enhancing coordination to fast-track concentrated IT parks and innovation hubs

On the afternoon of December 15, Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, met with relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities to review the progress of key projects: the Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Zone; the 300-hectare Innovation Hub in Binh An Commune; and the 200-hectare Science, Technology, and Innovation Zone in Dong Xoai Ward.

For the Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Zone, the Department of Science and Technology has completed the sub-zone planning assignment dossier at a 1:2,000 scale and is awaiting appraisal. Following approval by the Provincial People’s Committee, the 1:2,000 sub-zone plan is scheduled for submission for appraisal in the first quarter of 2026.

For the 300-hectare Innovation Hub in Binh An Commune, the department has submitted a proposal to approve the sub-zone planning at a 1:2,000 scale, alongside updating relevant information in the provincial master plan. The department has also consulted with other departments, agencies, and units in preparing the project dossier.

For the 200-hectare Science, Technology, and Innovation Zone in Dong Xoai Ward, the department has reviewed the planning and conducted an on-site survey of the project area, identifying certain advantages. The department has proposed that the province consider approving the site location within the 1:2,000 sub-zone plan of the Suoi Cam Urban Area.

At the meeting, representatives from relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities reviewed project details, addressed challenges and obstacles in the planning and documentation, and outlined strategies for attracting future investment.

In his remarks, Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, called on the Department of Science and Technology to work closely with relevant agencies to monitor project progress and coordinate all related tasks. He urged departments and agencies to identify and resolve existing challenges, propose practical solutions, and accelerate implementation in line with regulatory procedures. Highlighting the strategic importance of these projects for Dong Nai’s transition toward a modern, high-tech economy, he emphasized the need for swift execution while streamlining processes within the legal framework.
