On the morning of December 30, at the S’tieng Ethnic Cultural Conservation Area in Bom Bo Commune, Dong Nai Province, the Department of Industry and Trade held a ceremony to announce the establishment and official operation of a retail outlet showcasing specialty and distinctive products from mountainous, remote, and border areas across the province.
Attending the event were Vu Ngoc Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; leaders of Bom Bo, Bu Dang, and Dak Nhau communes; as well as producers and business representatives of OCOP (One Commune One Product) goods, exemplary rural industrial products, and other specialty and signature products of Dong Nai province.

The establishment of the retail outlet at the S’tieng Ethnic Cultural Conservation Area in Bom Bo hamlet not only provides convenient access to local products for residents and visitors but also helps to boost trade development.
The event also represents a crucial first step in increasing the value of regional products and establishing sustainable livelihoods for people in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas of Dong Nai province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vu Ngoc Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, emphasized that through this model, the province’s industry and trade sector aims to expand stable market outlets for agricultural products, promote value chain linkages, and enhance the competitiveness of production entities. At the same time, the initiative seeks to integrate commercial development with cultural tourism, traditional education, and the preservation of ethnic identity.
Additionally, the retail outlet will be one of the activities within the tourism program at the S’tieng Ethnic Cultural Conservation Area in Bom Bo hamlet. Notably, the project is expected to create jobs for residents and help transform cultural values into economic benefits.

The retail outlet, now in operation, not only serves to concretize the Prime Minister’s Program on Trade Development in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas for the 2021-2025 period, but also acts as a venue for showcasing, promoting, and distributing specialty products, OCOP items, and exemplary rural industrial goods. It is envisioned as a cultural and commercial space that promotes value chain linkages and enhances the competitiveness of production entities.
