Attending the workshop were Chu Thuc Dat, Deputy Director General of the Agency for Innovation under the Ministry of Science and Technology, along with representatives of ministries, sectors, and localities nationwide. Dong Nai Province was represented by Vo Hoang Khai, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology.

At the workshop, representatives of the Agency for Innovation presented the PII 2025 index framework, data sources and stakeholders’ participation; the data processing procedure and calculation methods; as well as the results and application of the PII 2025 findings.

The PII index provides a comprehensive and objective reflection of each locality’s socio-economic development based on science, technology, and innovation, including Dong Nai Province. The index identifies both strengths and weaknesses, while also outlining the potential and necessary conditions to promote innovation.

The PII 2025 includes 52 indicators grouped into seven pillars, aligned with the principles of the Global Innovation Index (GII). The PII serves as an important tool to help localities formulate policies and development strategies in the coming period.
