Connecting and promoting outstanding rural industrial products

Over recent years, Dong Nai has placed strong emphasis on promoting and facilitating trade connections for its key local products, including the province’s outstanding rural industrial products and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items.

*Products from provinces and cities nationwide gather in Dong Nai

One of Dong Nai’s major trade promotion and industrial promotion events in 2025 is the Southeastern Region – Dong Nai Outstanding Rural Industrial Products Fair, which forms part of the 2025 National Industrial Promotion Programme.

The fair is organised by Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Department of Innovation, Green Transition and Industrial Promotion under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Dong Nai People’s Committee.

The event features 250 booths displaying typical rural industrial products from Dong Nai and numerous provinces and cities nationwide, including Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang, Ca Mau, Gia Lai, Quang Tri, and Tay Ninh, among others. Exhibits range widely from handicrafts, processed foods, mechanical equipment, and high-tech agricultural products to regional specialties.

Tran Khanh Bang, representative of Chi Nguyen mangrove-wood chopsticks production facility (Dat Mui Commune, Ca Mau Province), said the facility’s chopsticks have been certified as OCOP products and recognised as outstanding rural industrial products of the locality. By participating in the fair, the facility aims to connect and promote its products to new and potential markets, including Dong Nai.

Similarly, Le Thi Anh Hang, representative of the Business Department of Ngoc Bich Natural Medicinal Herbs Co. Ltd. (Nam Dong Ha Ward, Quang Tri Province), shared that the company’s core products include herbal balms and teas. At present, the company has eight products recognised as outstanding rural industrial products of the province. This is the third time the company has taken part in fairs and exhibitions in Dong Nai. Through this year’s event, the company hopes to build connections, expand its market in the southern region, and introduce its outstanding rural industrial products to consumers.

*Expanding markets for Dong Nai’s outstanding rural industrial products

With its geographical advantages, industrial infrastructure, and open investment policies, Dong Nai has been developing dynamic industrial zones and clusters, helping to advance agricultural, industrial, commercial, and service value chains aligned with green growth and sustainable development goals.

As of November 2025, the province has a total of 443 provincial-level outstanding rural industrial products, 99 regional-level products, and 51 national-level products. In 2025 alone, Dong Nai gained six additional national-level outstanding rural industrial products or product groups, including: salted roasted cashew nuts by Duc Thinh Production and Export Co. Ltd. (Phuoc Son Commune); cashew kernels with testa, peeled cashew kernels, dried macadamia nuts, and chilli–garlic cashews by Gia Bao Corporation Joint Stock Company (Binh Phuoc Ward); salted roasted cashew nuts by Hoang Phu Cashew Co. Ltd. (Loc Tan Commune); cashew-testa peeling machine by Thanh Phat Manufacturing – Trading – Services Co. Ltd. (Phuoc Long Ward); hard-shell cashew cutting and separating system by Dai Hoang Kim Binh Phuoc Joint Stock Company (Binh Tan Commune); Pure Cocoa Powder by Trong Duc Cocoa Co. Ltd. (Phu Hoa Commune).

Hoang Dao, Deputy Director of Hoang Phu Cashew Co. Ltd. (Loc Tan Commune, Dong Nai Province), said the company seeks to strengthen connections and expand consumption markets for its recognised rural industrial products. The fair also provides an opportunity to introduce and promote the company’s specialties and outstanding products to consumers within and beyond the province.

Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade, Pham Van Cuong, noted that through this fair, Dong Nai aims to strengthen regional connectivity, enhance value-chain linkages, and expand consumption markets for rural industrial products. At the same time, the event helps showcase Dong Nai as a dynamic, potential-rich, and friendly locality undergoing strong industrialisation and modernisation.
