Consumer demand during the Lunar New Year (Tet) is forecasted to rise compared to other times of the year, creating supply pressure but also offering opportunities for local enterprises to expand their markets, improve their products, and increase revenue as they prepare for the upcoming year.
Proactive supply planning
Me Ro Clean Food Co., Ltd. (Binh Tan Commune, Dong Nai Province) specializes in products made from various nuts, including cashews, macadamia nuts, almonds, and sacha inchi. The company’s products are distributed nationwide through multiple agencies.
According to Pham Thi Trang, Director of Me Ro Clean Food Co., Ltd., the company began its “Tet season” distribution campaign in early October 2025. To meet the sharp increase in demand, the company activated its peak packaging operations early, stockpiled raw materials, and strengthened market connections to ensure an abundant supply ahead of the Lunar New Year. The enterprise also invested in diversifying products and packaging to meet rising consumer expectations. With projected sales volumes exceeding regular levels, the packaging lines have been operating continuously. “As a trading enterprise, the year-end consumption peak is when we expand sales channels, especially online. This period is a boom time for nutritious nuts and dried fruits, and we are fully committed to maintaining quality and delivering the best products to consumers despite the surge in orders,” Trang said.
Anticipating high year-end demand for roasted salted cashews, Dong Phu Cashew Co., Ltd. (Nghia Trung Commune, Dong Nai Province) prepared an adequate supply of raw cashews to meet customer demand while ensuring product quality and timely delivery. Since November 2025, the company has improved productivity and proactively connected with supermarket chains and traditional markets to stabilize prices and maintain a steady supply chain.
Le Van Lam, Manager of Dong Phu Cashew Co., Ltd., shared that as of now, the company's Tet orders have increased compared to last year, though not by much. The company is currently awaiting feedback from new clients, and order volumes are expected to improve in the coming days. “Currently, deeply processed products are gaining strong customer preference and seeing a sharp rise in consumption during both the Gregorian and Lunar New Year periods. The company is making every effort to meet market demand and fulfill year-end orders, serving as a decisive factor in maintaining our credibility with clients and building momentum for the new year,” Lam added.
Securing orders to build momentum for the new year
During the final months of the year, the pressure of deadlines and increased market demand has pushed many enterprises in the province to accelerate production to ensure timely delivery. Meeting commitments is not only a responsibility but also essential to maintaining credibility, retaining customers, and expanding future orders.
Operating in the export wood sector, Manh Phuong Co., Ltd. (Nha Bich Commune, Dong Nai Province) carefully selects high-quality raw timber and adheres to strict technical standards to ensure product consistency. The technical team continuously monitors each production stage to maintain uniform quality. Thanks to these coordinated efforts, the company has maintained stable delivery schedules, secured new international orders, and gained opportunities to expand its markets in the coming year. To avoid supply chain disruptions, the enterprise signed early raw material contracts, increased reserves, and adopted technology-based warehouse management.
“At year-end, demand rises sharply, so production must be accelerated to meet partners’ delivery schedules. We started sourcing materials three to four months in advance to ramp up production during these final months. This approach allows us to maintain stable prices for partners, acting as a critical factor in securing long-term contracts”.
DAO HUY TUYEN, Director of Manh Phuong Co., Ltd.
Beyond increasing output, businesses are also reforming processes to enhance product quality and reduce operational costs, serving as key factors for improving competitiveness during the year-end peak. Dong Nai has extensive cashew and rubber plantations, and each year, large areas reach harvesting maturity, providing abundant raw materials for veneer producers and wood-processing factories, especially during this period.
To boost year-end production, Phuc Thinh Manufacturing, Services and Trading Joint Stock Company (Dong Xoai Ward, Dong Nai Province) reorganized its workflow while increasing its workforce for peak production phases.
Le Thi Lam, Deputy Head of Human Resources, shared: “Located in the heart of the raw material region, the company enjoys logistical advantages that ensure steady supply and smooth production to fulfill a wide range of orders. At year-end, we ramp up production to meet client schedules, attract new customers for the upcoming year, and develop new product lines”.
According to enterprises, workloads have increased sharply in the final days of the year, but product quality remains the top priority. Therefore, beyond design and packaging, manufacturers are making concerted efforts to improve product quality, meet market demand, enhance competitiveness, and effectively serve Tet's shopping needs. Amid intense market competition, taking the initiative and accelerating production to complete planned targets remains the “key” to ensuring supply, contributing to market stability, and driving local economic growth.
