In the section of Component Project 2 that connects with Component Project 3, contractors are simultaneously undertaking multiple construction tasks, including road surfacing, median barrier installation, and roadbed reinforcement. The connection between Component Project 2 and Component Project 3 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is a key factor in achieving the goal of opening Component Project 2 to technical traffic before December 19, 2025, and completing the entire expressway for early operation.
Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, running through Dong Nai Province, has a total length of 18 km. According to Project Management Board 85, overall construction output has currently reached over 70% of the contracted value. It is expected that by December 19, 2025, the construction volume will reach approximately 85% of the contract value, meeting the conditions set by the Prime Minister for technical traffic opening.

The entire construction site of Component Project 2 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is operating on a “3 shifts, 4 crews” schedule to maintain progress. Contractors are focusing on accelerating work at key interchanges, including the Tan Hiep Interchange, the interchange that connects to Long Thanh International Airport, and the interchange with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway has a total length of approximately 54 km, with more than 34 km running through Dong Nai Province under Component Projects 1 and 2. The section passing through Ho Chi Minh City is nearly 20 km long and corresponds to Component Project 3.
In April 2025, Component Project 3 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway was opened to technical traffic. Contractors are currently completing the final items for this section, including lighting systems, traffic safety facilities, and traffic organization at the interchanges.
