Wasting no time after the opening whistle, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai launched an early offensive in an effort to push Quy Nhon United back into their own half. However, the visitors from the “Land of Martial Arts” held their ground with a compact, two-layer defensive setup that effectively blunted most of the hosts’ attacking moves. The only truly threatening moment in the first half came from a close-range header by Tu Nhan inside the box, but the ball unfortunately sailed over the crossbar.
Quy Nhon United’s physical and tough approach led to several interruptions throughout the first 45 minutes. Despite dominating possession with 65% and registering six shots, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai were unable to break through before halftime.

The second half played out much like the first, with Truong Tuoi Dong Nai continuing to control the match. Meanwhile, Quy Nhon United looked to slow the tempo as much as possible, even resorting to going to ground to disrupt the hosts' momentum.
But the inevitable finally came. In the 60th minute, substitute striker Ho Thanh Minh displayed clever footwork to turn past a defender and thread the ball beyond the goalkeeper’s reach, opening the scoring for Truong Tuoi Dong Nai.

Despite falling behind, the visitors posed little attacking threat, allowing the home side to maintain sustained pressure on Quy Nhon United’s defense. With a bit more luck, the “Green Warriors” could have widened the margin. With this narrow but essential 1-0 win in Round 7, Truong Tuoi Dong Nai temporarily reclaimed the top spot in the standings with 17 points, pending Khanh Hoa’s match one day later on November 9.
