Reporting to the working delegation, the leader of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project’s investor, stated that Component Project 3 of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3 in Dong Nai covers more than 11 km (excluding Component Project 1A). The route starts at Km0+000 in Phuoc An commune and ends at the Nhon Trach bridge area in Nhon Trach commune, Dong Nai province. The total investment for the project is nearly 2.6 trillion VND.

For Component Project 3, the construction includes 5 km of expressway from Km0+000 to Km5+000, connecting with Component Project 1A at the interchange with Provincial Road 25B. In addition, parallel roads on both sides of the expressway will be built along the entire section from Km0+000 to the Nhon Trach bridge approach, including two bridges crossing the Rach Chay River along the parallel routes.

Component Project 3 consists of three major construction packages. To date, the total value of completed work has exceeded 1.1 trillion VND, equivalent to more than 60 per cent of the signed contract value. Contractors are currently mobilizing maximum human resources and equipment to accelerate progress and aim to complete the project’s technical traffic opening before December 19, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the construction site, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh commended the efforts of engineers and workers directly engaged in the project. He emphasized that this is a key project connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai province. Once completed, it will enhance the effectiveness of related ongoing and completed projects, create new development space, unlock land-use potential, and contribute to the development of a modern and sustainable urban system. This, he noted, will help advance the socioeconomic development goals set by the 13th National Party Congress.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the time remaining until December 19, 2025, is limited. He urged relevant units to take advantage of favorable weather, increase work shifts, and deploy additional workforce and machinery to maintain round-the-clock construction. While accelerating progress, he stressed, contractors must also ensure construction quality and meet the Prime Minister’s requirement that the project achieve technical traffic opening by the designated deadline.

During the inspection, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh presented gifts and offered encouragement to the construction teams working on the project.
