Respected community figure wholeheartedly devoted to his village
As a highly trusted member of Minh Lap 2 hamlet, Dieu Nong is someone the community consistently depends on. Despite his busy work on the family’s rubber plantation, he actively engages in social matters, promotes legal awareness, and helps uphold peace and order in the village.
Speaking about his duties, he shared: “Whenever something happens related to security or public order, while waiting for the authorities to arrive, it’s the local people who must step in first. Even at midnight, if someone calls, I go immediately to persuade and explain things so that people don’t violate the law.”
Thanks to dedicated individuals like Dieu Nong, Minh Lap 2 hamlet has maintained stable public order, with an increasingly strengthened civic lifestyle, which contributes to the building of a safe and civilized residential community.
While Dieu Nong is a pillar of security and public order, his wife, Thi Nheng - Head of the Hamlet’s Fatherland Front Working Committee, village health worker, and population collaborator- serves as a vital “bridge” between local authorities and the people. She is dedicated to every task: communicating policies, assisting residents with administrative procedures, providing healthcare guidance, and promoting population and family planning programs.
As authorities began expanding digital transformation initiatives, Nheng became one of the first to go door-to-door, helping residents install and use digital signatures and the VNeID application. “We guide people to set up digital signatures for online household registration, birth certificates, and death certificates. We have to explain everything in the ethnic language so people can understand and follow more easily,” she said.
Amid her busy schedule, Nheng always wears a warm smile, as helping the community is her greatest source of joy and happiness. “What I hope for most is greater attention from higher authorities to social welfare, because many households in Minh Lap 2 still face difficulties, limited farmland, unstable employment, and an unreliable electricity supply. We simply hope our people can face fewer hardships,” Nheng shared.
“Dieu Nong is highly active in local affairs. Every task assigned by the residential community or higher authorities, he carries out effectively. He frequently visits households to advocate for the Party’s and the State’s policies, and he directly participates in the grassroots security team, helping to maintain peace for the people.”

Family happiness – The foundation of community strength
Despite their busy roles in community work, Dieu Nong and Thi Nheng maintain a harmonious and happy family life. Their children are well-behaved and hardworking, with some serving in the military and others attending university. Thanks to the diligence, unity, and dedication of every family member, the couple’s household economy remains stable, supported by 5.5 hectares of rubber.
Dieu Nong shared: “Family matters must be arranged properly before I go out to fulfil tasks assigned by the authorities. My wife and children help with the plantation and rubber tapping on schedule. It is because our family is united and loving that everything runs smoothly.”
Grounded in love and responsibility, the couple has built a warm and supportive home, serving as the foundation that enables them to give wholeheartedly to their community.
Now in their middle age, Dieu Nong and Thi Nheng continue to devote themselves wholeheartedly to their hamlet and commune. They actively encourage residents to participate in community activities, foster neighborly bonds, and promote a sense of solidarity. More than any specific task, what they have given the community is trust, compassion, and the quiet spread of kindness.
They are living examples of the spirit of “living beautifully, living usefully,” contributing to the ongoing renewal, peace, and well-being of Minh Lap 2 hamlet. As respected and dedicated figures who quietly sow seeds of goodness, Dieu Nong and Thi Nheng stand as a source of pride and a steadfast pillar for the S’tieng community in Nha Bich commune today.
