Following its administrative merger, Thuan Loi commune in Dong Nai province now comprises 16 hamlets, covering an area of 167.23 square kilometers with a population of more than 23,500 residents. Since the Party Congress of Thuan Loi commune and the 1st Party Congress of Dong Nai province for the 2025–2030 term, the commune’s political system has swiftly taken action, implementing comprehensive measures to bring the Party’s resolutions to life.
With its expanded development space and two-tier local government model, Thuan Loi has gained favorable conditions to attract investment, develop commerce and services, and promote high-tech agricultural production. The commune is striving to achieve the status of an advanced new-style rural area by 2030.
Economic growth and improved living standards
In recent years, Thuan Loi commune has established itself as one of the most dynamic localities with strong agricultural potential. Agricultural production has shifted toward sustainability, quality, and market adaptation. The local crop structure has experienced significant changes, with a decline in annual crops and an increase in high-value perennial crops. In the livestock sector, small-scale household farming is gradually being replaced by concentrated, closed-loop farm models that meet biosecurity standards. Currently, the commune has 17 farms (including 5 poultry farms and 12 pig farms) and one cattle-breeding group, with a total herd of over 70,000 livestock and 71,000 poultry, helping to stabilize supply and boost local incomes.

The industrial, transport, and construction sectors have also made notable progress. Enterprises and production facilities have expanded in size and diversified their industries, providing stable jobs for over 2,100 workers. Transport infrastructure has been dramatically improved. During the 2020-2025 term, the commune has upgraded and repaired 67 kilometers of rural roads, built 86 concrete roads totaling 33.66 kilometers, and constructed three asphalt roads covering 12 kilometers, along with drainage and electrical systems, at a total cost exceeding 72 billion VND. A highlight is the Suoi Den Bridge, which connects Thuan Loi commune with Phu Rieng commune. Funded by the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Club with an investment of 1.7 billion VND, the bridge has opened a new trade route, providing fresh momentum for the commune’s socio-economic development.
At its 1st Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, the Thuan Loi Commune Party Committee adopted the action motto: “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development.” The congress identified two key breakthroughs for the new term: mobilizing resources to invest in synchronized transport infrastructure, and promoting high-tech agriculture in connection with eco-tourism development. The commune has set ambitious targets, aiming for an average annual economic growth rate of over 10%. By 2030, Thuan Loi strives to achieve the status of an advanced new-style rural commune, characterized by a per capita income of approximately 130 million VND per year, a poverty rate of less than 1%, with 100% of schools meeting national standards, and 95% of residents covered by health insurance.
The transformation of Thuan Loi is reflected not only in growth figures or completed infrastructure projects but also in the renewed mindset and innovative spirit of its people in the era of integration. Residents have proactively applied science and technology in production, established value chain linkages, and adopted a market-oriented economic mindset. These achievements lay a solid foundation for Thuan Loi to continue its journey of innovation, building a prosperous, cultured, and livable rural community.
Luong Thi Huong, a resident of Thuan Tien hamlet, shared: “In the past, our roads were rough and muddy during the rainy season and dusty when it was dry. Now, with paved concrete roads and bright streetlights illuminating every alley, travel has become much easier, and our children can attend school safely. We can truly see our hometown changing day by day, and we wholeheartedly support the local government in building a richer and more beautiful Thuan Loi.”
Infrastructure breakthroughs elevate new rural development
Entering the 2025-2030 term, Thuan Loi commune has identified comprehensive infrastructure and socio-economic development as its key breakthrough. The commune is focusing on mobilizing all available resources to invest in transportation systems, administrative centers, commercial zones, and industrial clusters, gradually shaping a modern and civilized urban landscape. At the same time, Thuan Loi is promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, administrative reform, and human resource training to meet new development requirements. Priority is also given to investing in synchronous, modern technical and social infrastructure, creating a new appearance for the rural area and ensuring sustainable and comprehensive growth.
Lam A Ria, an officer from the commune’s Culture and Social Affairs Division, shared that the “All people unite to build a cultural life” movement has spread widely, featuring diverse cultural and sports activities. “As a member of the Khmer ethnic community, I always strive to preserve and promote our cultural traditions. When people take pride in their ethnic identity, community solidarity becomes stronger, contributing to the successful implementation of Party Congress resolutions at all levels,” he said.
Hoa Van Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee and Chairman of the Thuan Loi Commune People’s Committee, emphasized: “For Party resolutions to be effectively implemented in daily life, the Party Committee, local government, Fatherland Front, and mass organizations must demonstrate strong determination and adopt concrete solutions. Additionally, the consensus of the people and the strength of the great national unity bloc are the fundamental driving forces for Thuan Loi’s sustainable development.”
The achievements that Thuan Loi commune enjoys today are the result of solidarity across the entire political system and the consensus of our people. We have consistently strengthened our internal capabilities, gained support from higher authorities, and adopted flexible and innovative management to meet nearly all the goals set by the Party Congress resolution, building a strong foundation for the commune’s next development stage.

Village elder Dieu Vinh, a respected community leader from Thuan Tien Hamlet, is a shining example of dedication and lifelong learning in Thuan Loi. He often reminds his neighbors, “Education is the key to a better life. Only through learning can we work efficiently and escape poverty. No matter how difficult it is, our children must go to school.” For many consecutive years, his family has been recognized as a “Learning family” and a “Cultural family.” His example has inspired a spirit of renewal and progress across the community, helping to transform local mindsets and practices, and guiding Thuan Loi toward a future that is prosperous, cultured, and compassionate.
With the guiding motto “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development,” the Party Committee, local government, and people of Thuan Loi commune remain determined to uphold their heroic traditions, nurture self-reliance and resilience, seize opportunities, and overcome challenges. Their shared goal is to successfully implement the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress (2025–2030 term), building a wealthy, modern, and sustainably developed Thuan Loi.
