Scholarships awarded to 13 students who are Agent Orange victims, children, siblings of Agent Orange victims

On November 20, the Dong Nai Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin organised a delegation to present “Supporting  Students to School” scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year to students who are Agent Orange victims, children, siblings of Agent Orange/dioxin.

Thirteen scholarships, each worth 2 million VND, were awarded to students from schools across eight communes and wards, including Tan An, Trang Dai, Long Binh, Bao Vinh, La Nga, Binh Phuoc, Hung Phuoc, and Nghia Trung. To qualify for the scholarships, the students who are Agent Orange victims, children, siblings of Agent Orange/dioxin, must maintain academic performance at a “good” level or higher.

Earlier, at the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year, as part of the support program for students who are Agent Orange victims, children, siblings of Agent Orange/dioxin, the Dong Nai education sector mobilised schools to contribute more than 228 million VND to assist these students.

According to Mai Van Nho, Chairman of the Dong Nai Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, the province is currently home to nearly 13,000 victims of Agent Orange. In recent years, the association has consistently worked with relevant sectors and localities to ensure its members get their entitled benefits accurately, fully, and in a timely manner, while also receiving the community’s attention.

The association at all levels is continuing efforts to implement policies for victims of Agent Orange, continuing the fight for justice for Agent Orange victims on the international stage, building a strong and comprehensive organization, and mobilising social resources to care for affected individuals.
