Putting the people at the center and as the main actor of renewal in Front work

On the morning of November 7, at the Provincial Convention Center in Tan Trieu Ward, the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Dong Nai Province, for the 2025-2030 term, continued its second working day and concluded successfully.

At the congress, 117 individuals were elected to the first VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province for the 2025–2030 term. The Standing Board of the Provincial VFF Committee also made its debut and assumed duties.

The Provincial VFF Standing Board consists of 10 members. Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, serves as Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial VFF Committee. The 9 Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial VFF are Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Nguyen Quoc Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor; Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Women’s Union; Nguyen Huu Nguyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Farmers’ Association; Nguyen Minh Kien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; Nguyen Van Phoi, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans’ Association; along with Luu Thi Ha, Nguyen Tat Do, and Nguyen Tan Phu.

Comrade Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice President of the VFF Central Committee, congratulated Dong Nai Province on successfully organizing the first Congress of the VFF for the 2025–2030 term, as well as the individuals elected to the Provincial VFF Committee and its Standing Board. He also commended the Dong Nai Provincial VFF for its positive achievements in Front work over the past period.

Comrade Hoang Cong Thuy emphasized that, in the context of the newly merged organizational apparatus, the Front’s work must closely follow the Party’s guidelines and orientations on promoting the tradition of great national unity, building a prosperous and happy nation, and placing the people at the roots and at the center of all undertakings.

He urged continued innovation in thinking and working methods in a comprehensive, people-centered approach to implementing patriotic emulation movements, guided by the motto: Think genuinely, speak truthfully, act sincerely, achieve real results, for the people’s genuine benefit.

In her address, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized that the congress holds special significance, marking a historic milestone in Dong Nai’s Front work since the implementation of the Party’s policy on streamlining and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire political system. For the first time, the VFF of Dong Nai Province has been organized under a unified model, encompassing socio-political organizations as well as mass associations assigned with specific responsibilities. This, she said, represents not merely an organizational restructuring, but also a renewal in leadership thinking and methods of public mobilization, affirming the Front’s role as the center of unity and the “common home” for all classes, ethnic groups, religions, and people from all walks of life across the province.

To ensure that the Front’s work continues to advance with profound impact and practical results, contributing to the successful implementation of the congress’s objectives and tasks, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh urged the congress to thoroughly grasp the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws on great national unity, mass mobilization, ethnic and religious affairs in the new context, placing the people at the center and as the main actor of renewal. 

The Front and its member organizations must further enhance coordination with authorities at all levels through concrete regulations, programs, and plans under the motto: Consultation – Coordination – Synchronized Action.  Priority should be given to improving people’s livelihoods, with clear responsibilities assigned to each member organization. Social supervision and feedback must be carried out in a substantive and effective manner. The political system’s mass mobilization mechanisms should be closely linked with democratic practice and the promotion of the people’s right to mastery. Continued innovation in content and operational methods, focusing on grassroots engagement, identifying key priorities, taking residential communities as the foundation, and viewing the people as both the center and the main actors in implementation. Emphasis should be placed on applying digital technology in management, enabling the reception of citizens’ feedback and petitions via digital platforms, and measuring public satisfaction levels online.

On behalf of the congress, Comrade Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the VFF Committee of Dong Nai Province, acknowledged and embraced the directives from the leadership of the VFF Central Committee and the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee.

Comrade Huynh Thi Hang stated that over nearly two years of the past term, in the course of performing its duties, the VFF of Dong Nai Province has demonstrated a spirit of dedication, innovation, and remarkable effort, achieving comprehensive results and leaving a strong imprint across multiple fields through bold reforms in the content and methods of public mobilization.

Major patriotic movements and national campaigns have been carried out in a substantive and effective manner. Social supervision and feedback have seen genuine progress. Social welfare initiatives have achieved notable results, vividly reflecting the Front’s role as a bridge of compassion connecting the people.

After two sessions of working in an urgent, serious, and responsible manner, the first Congress of the VFF of Dong Nai Province concluded successfully. All delegates unanimously adopted the congress resolution, which includes 15 key targets for the 2025–2030 term.

The congress called on all officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life in the province to continue upholding the tradition of solidarity and creativity, demonstrating initiative and dynamism, and actively participating in patriotic emulation movements, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set forth by the first Congress of the VFF of Dong Nai Province, and affirming the VFF role and position in the new era.
