On the morning of November 18, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Council, chaired the reception and working session between the Dong Nai People’s Council and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Boc Vu, Member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress and Vice Chairman of the Social Committee.

At the working session, Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Council, respectfully sent a warm greeting to Boc Vu and his working delegation. She emphasized that this event holds special significance, serving as a vivid demonstration of the growing friendship and increasingly strong cooperative relationship between the two elected bodies of Dong Nai and Jiangsu provinces.
Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh stated that Vietnam in general, and Dong Nai province in particular, are entering a new stage of development with a strong and determined spirit of innovation, aiming to build a streamlined, effective, and efficient administration oriented toward a digitally-driven, and service-oriented administration.

Highlighting the key features of Dong Nai’s geographical location, natural area, population size, and economic scale after the provincial merger, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council, emphasized that, based on its infrastructure foundation, vast, fertile, and flat land area, and proactive administrative reforms under the motto “The locality decides, the locality acts, the locality takes responsibility,” Dong Nai is aiming to become a hub for high-tech industry, supporting industries, logistics, agriculture, and eco-tourism in the Southern region.

Providing additional information about the activities of the Dong Nai People’s Council, comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh stated that, as a local state power agency, the Provincial People's Council effectively performs three functions: deciding on policies and guidelines for socio-economic development; supervising the activities of state agencies; and representing the will and aspirations of voters and the local population.
Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized that the Dong Nai People’s Council consistently seeks out and learns from advanced governance models and the experiences of elected bodies at home and abroad, aiming to strengthen state management capacity and build a professional, effective public administration that better serves the legitimate aspirations and interests of the people.

Speaking at the working session, Boc Vu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress and Vice Chairman of the Social Committee, expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception by Dong Nai provincial leaders and praised the province’s development across various sectors.
Providing an overview of the delegation’s key activities, Boc Vu expressed confidence that through this visit and working session, the two agencies will continue to expand exchanges and share experiences, thereby establishing a practical, effective and sustainable cooperative relationship. At the same time, the visit contributes to strengthening the longstanding friendship between the two Parties, the two States, and the peoples of Vietnam and the People’s Republic of China.

At the working session, both sides exchanged and shared experiences in the activities of the elected bodies of Dong Nai and Jiangsu provinces.

Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang stated that, in the near future, the Provincial People’s Committee hopes to continue organizing delegation exchanges and cultural interactions between the two localities; strengthen the sharing of experiences in socio-economic development, environmental protection, education and training, and healthcare; as well as promote business cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, contributing to deepening the friendly and cooperative relationship between Dong Nai and Jiangsu province.

The Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee emphasized that Dong Nai province always welcomes and is ready to provide the most favorable conditions regarding mechanisms, policies, investment environment, and administrative procedures, enabling businesses and investors to operate effectively and develop sustainably in the province. She also expressed confidence that, through this visit, the delegation will gain a deeper understanding of Dong Nai’s potential, strengths, and investment environment, thereby opening up new opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest between the two provinces.
