In pursuit of a civilized, eco-friendly, and compassionate Dong Xoai

Following the success of the first congress of the 2025–2030 term, the Party Committee of Dong Xoai Ward is focusing on implementing the resolutions in practice with high political determination to successfully achieve the targets and tasks set out by the congress.

Upholding the tradition of the “Dong Xoai ablaze with victories”, all officials, Party members, and people from all walks of life in the ward are mobilizing and making full use of available resources and groups of solutions, closely linking the Party’s will with the people’s aspirations. All efforts are aimed at transforming Dong Xoai into a “civilized, ecological, and compassionate” urban area.

A solid foundation for development

Dong Xoai Ward, Dong Nai Province, was established by merging Tien Thanh Ward and Tan Thanh Commune of the former Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province. It covers a natural area of 81.33 km² with a population of 35,887 people. The ward possesses certain advantages: spacious infrastructure, systematically planned development space, and a diversified economy spanning industry, services, commerce, and agriculture. This forms a solid foundation for Dong Xoai to make significant progress in its new development phase.

The Viet Uc Road, connecting National Highway 14 with numerous farms in Tan Thanh 7 Quarter (Dong Xoai Ward), had long been damaged and degraded, affecting local transportation and trade. Thanks to local government attention and investment, the road is being renovated, upgraded, and widened with a total budget of VND 5.5 billion. The construction progress is being sped up and expected to be completed and put into operation by December 2025.

As a beneficiary of the ward’s development, Bui Khai (Tan Thanh 7 Quarter), a 55-year Party member, shared: “Through observing, I feel confident and have high expectations as the Party’s resolutions are being put in practice. From infrastructure to people’s living standards and income, everything continues to improve. This is evidence of the Party Committee and local government’s correct leadership.”

Besides infrastructure projects serving residents, education and training have also been prioritized, ensuring that all schools in the ward meet national standards.

Le Xuan Truong, Principal of Tan Thanh Secondary School, expressed: “Teachers and students are very pleased that the local government has invested in building 9 classrooms and functional rooms. This provides favorable conditions to improve teaching quality, support a two-session school day, and implement the 2018 General Education Program.”

Promoting the service-oriented and innovative spirit

Based on the Party Committee’s guidance and leadership, the entire political system of Dong Xoai Ward has engaged, particularly in ensuring the local government operates effectively, efficiently, and with a service-oriented and innovative spirit.

Duong Hoai Pha, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Xoai Ward People’s Committee, stated: “We aim to shift from management-focused governance to innovation-driven governance, placing citizens and businesses at the center to provide the fastest and most effective services. At the same time, we take steps to apply science and technology breakthroughs in management, moving towards a digital government, and ensure Level-4 online public services reach 100%. In the coming time, the Ward People’s Committee will continue to strengthen direction and administration to successfully implement the resolutions set out by the Party Congress for 2025–2030.”

For the 2025–2030 term, Dong Xoai Ward has identified key targets in priority areas to guide leadership, administration, and mobilization of the political system and citizens. In particular, among nine economic development targets, the Party Committee has set core goals such as: Annual average growth of total product value is expected to reach at least 14%; By 2030, industry and construction will hopefully account for 54.84%, trade and services 35.59%, and agriculture 9.57%, respectively; Priorities are given to the development of high-tech and sustainable urban agriculture; Average per capita income is expected to increase by 60% by 2030 compared with 2025; ensuring that budget revenue generated locally meets and exceeds provincial targets, with an average growth rate of at least 14%.

Effective utilization of land funds for developing high-quality new urban areas, leveraging the role of young, skilled, and dedicated staff, and prioritizing investment in synchronized technical infrastructure for digital transformation, provides a foundation to serve citizens and businesses efficiently, promote economic development, improve living standards, and drive sustainable progress of the ward.

Vu Van Muoi, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Ward People’s Council, emphasized: “We will harmoniously combine internal and external resources to create breakthroughs in development with the motto: ‘Dare to think, dare to act, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate, dare to face difficulties, challenges, and take decisive action for the common good.’”

Following the principle of being close to the people, the two-tier local government was put into operation with well-trained personnel, meeting the new requirements and being strengthened in a streamlined and increasingly effective way. Service quality has improved significantly, with high level of citizens’ satisfaction. This demonstrates strong improvements in civil servants’ attitudes and responsibility, along with growing public consensus and satisfaction.

The determination, proactiveness, and creativity in the leadership and administration of the political system, combined with the unity of people from all walks of life, form the essential foundation and precondition for Dong Xoai ward to achieve the targets and tasks set by the Party Congress. The goal of transforming Dong Xoai into a “civilized, ecological, and compassionate” urban area is now within reach for its Party Committee, government, and residents.
