Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai agree to divide project into independent components for three connecting bridges

Regarding road bridge construction projects connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai Province, the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has issued conclusions on the planning and investment work for building road bridges linking the two localities.

 Regarding road and bridge construction projects connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, the leadership of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has issued conclusions on the planning and investment work for these inter-provincial transport projects.

Specifically, for the Cat Lai Bridge, the two sides agreed to divide the project into two independent components. Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province will act as the competent state authority for the Cat Lai Bridge Construction Project, which includes the main bridge structure (extending to the abutment on the Ho Chi Minh City side) and the approach road on the Dong Nai side (including site clearance within Dong Nai Province), to be implemented under the public–private partnership (PPP) model. The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will carry out the Nguyen Thi Dinh Road Expansion Project, from the My Thuy intersection to the Dong Nai River (including site clearance within Ho Chi Minh City), using public investment sourced from the city’s budget.

For the Phu My 2 and Long Hung bridge construction projects, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province have agreed on the investment models, the competent state authorities for project implementation, and the reporting procedures to their respective People's Councils.
