According to Tran Thuy Tien, Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, as of November 22, a total of 71 foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are currently operating in Dong Nai province.

She added that since the start of the year, the province has welcomed 37 visiting delegations of foreign NGOs, companies, and foundations, during which 37 aid packages were distributed, with a total committed funding of about 46.2 billion VND. Using these resources, the provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, alongside relevant sectors and local authorities, has implemented both project-based and non-project initiatives, such as early intervention programs for preschool children showing signs of autism spectrum disorder, housing construction for disadvantaged ethnic minority households, scholarship support for students in need, and assistance for social protection centers.

Additionally, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, in collaboration with the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, has supported 18 delegations from foreign NGOs during field visits, site assessments for upcoming projects, and post-funding evaluations.

In 2026, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations, together with provincial departments, sectors, and localities, will focus on 10 key tasks related to foreign NGO affairs. These include advising the Provincial People’s Committee on organizing a conference to implement the National Program on strengthening cooperation and mobilizing foreign NGO aid; developing a list of projects calling for cooperation and mobilization of foreign NGO aid for the new period; and organizing gatherings to express gratitude to foreign NGOs and donors.
