The Law on Chemicals, passed by the 15th National Assembly at its 9th session on June 14, 2025, will take effect on January 1, 2026. The law regulates chemicals and the management of chemical activities, including the development of the chemical industry, chemical information, hazardous chemicals in products and goods, and safety and security in chemical-related operations.
At the conference, representatives from enterprises were briefed by experts from the Vietnam Chemicals Agency on the key provisions of the Law on Chemicals and its implementing documents. The dissemination aims to promote awareness and practical application at the grassroots level, thereby integrating the law and its guiding regulations into daily practice, ensuring chemical safety, minimizing the risk of chemical incidents, protecting the environment and public health, and preventing fire and explosion hazards.

Dong Nai is the fourth-largest economy in Vietnam, with a high concentration of enterprises engaged in manufacturing and business activities. Throughout these operations, as well as in daily life, various stages of production and consumption involve the use of different types of chemicals.
Chemicals play a crucial role in the chemical industry in particular and the industrial sector in general. However, activities involving chemicals also carry significant risks of incidents during production, business operations, usage, storage, and transportation. Therefore, understanding chemical-related legal regulations and mastering skills in incident prevention and response demand a proactive sense of responsibility from enterprises, agencies, and organizations.
