On the morning of November 21, the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations held a ceremony to review and present awards for the province’s scientific and technical contests and movements in 2025, as well as to launch the competitions for 2026.
Attending the event were Provincial Party Committee members: Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Le Thi Thai, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; and Le Thi Thanh Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province and Chairwoman of the Provincial Women’s Union. Also present were Nguyen Tan Phu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, along with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and localities.

According to Hoang Thi Bich Hang, Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations, in 2025, the Union closely coordinated with relevant departments and sectors to organize the Provincial Technical Innovation Contest and the Youth and Children’s Innovation Contest. These are activities of significant socio-economic importance, helping to foster a movement of technical creativity and innovation that serves as a key driver of production development. In recent years, this movement has been maintained regularly and consistently, making a meaningful contribution to the province’s industrialization and modernization process.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized that, in the context of Dong Nai Province actively implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, issued by the Politburo on breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, the province’s science and technology contests play an increasingly important role. These movements contribute significantly to achieving the province’s socio-economic development and industrialization goals.

To ensure the continued success and assertive outreach of these contests, Vice Chairwoman Hoang called on all levels of Party committees, local authorities, agencies, and units to intensify their efforts in public communication and the implementation of guidelines and policies related to science, technology, and innovation. She emphasized the need to strengthen the promotion and replication of practical and creative models and solutions, thereby spreading the emulation movement of creative labor among the people. Educational institutions, units, and enterprises were encouraged to actively inspire students, officials, staff, and workers to conduct research and propose feasible initiatives and solutions that contribute to learning, daily life, and production and business activities.

After 8 editions of the Technical Innovation Contest and 10 editions of the Youth and Children’s Innovation Contest, the province has clearly affirmed the important role of scientific research, creativity, and technological application in socio-economic development. The contests also vividly demonstrate the potential, intellect, and creativity of the people of Dong Nai.

In 2025, the district-level Youth and Children’s Innovation Contests received 2,155 entries, from which 244 solutions were selected and submitted to the provincial-level contest. A total of 73 prizes were awarded, including 1 special prize, 8 first prizes, 14 second prizes, 20 third prizes, and 30 consolation prizes.

For the Technical Innovation Contest, 203 entries were submitted, and the judging council selected 35 award-winning solutions, including 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 15 consolation prizes.
On this occasion, the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations officially launched the 9th Dong Nai Technical Innovation Contest and the 11th Dong Nai Youth and Children’s Innovation Contest for 2026.
