Recognizing the benefits that AI brings, many businesses are actively exploring ways to apply it in management and operations to improve the quality of their products and services.
Supporting businesses in applying AI
AI is receiving growing attention from businesses. According to Nguyen Duy Khuong, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs' Association, while human resources and capital were once considered the primary drivers of growth, today knowledge and technology, especially AI, are emerging as core forces of development. A strong leader in the digital era must not only possess strategic vision but also know how to transform data into knowledge and knowledge into actionable insights. AI is no longer merely a supporting tool; it represents a new management mindset that enables businesses to reshape their operating models, optimize value chains, and make data-driven decisions.
According to Nguyen Minh Quang, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology, the province’s development orientation for the 2025–2030 period identifies science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as three key drivers of growth, playing a central role in enhancing productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. The Department of Science and Technology is working in coordination with business associations, universities, and start-up support organizations to implement various initiatives aimed at strengthening innovation capacity, with the application of AI and data in strategic thinking identified as a core focus.
“The Fourth Industrial Revolution, particularly AI and big data, is profoundly transforming every field, from production and commerce to state governance and social life. In the recent era, AI is no longer just a technology but a core competency shaping business and economic competitiveness.”
Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Minh Quang
As a training provider in AI, Luong Tu Anh, CEO of NodeX Asia Co., Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City), shared that the company has designed specialized programs for business leaders and senior managers, focusing on equipping them with AI thinking and application tools for modern management. These training programs help build a generation of ‘data-literate leaders’ who can ask the right questions, use AI effectively, and lead their organizations with knowledge.” NodeX Asia is also ready to collaborate with the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology and local businesses to implement specialized AI training programs.
Businesses’ appreciation for AI
According to Nguyen Hong Son, Deputy Executive Director of Viet Nhat Tien International Company Limited (Long Binh Ward), AI is creating a significant turning point for Vietnam’s logistics industry, especially in the Southeast region, which has all the conditions to develop a smart logistics center. With operations spanning multiple routes and managing thousands of orders and vehicles daily, applying AI enables the company to minimize manual errors, accurately predict transportation demand, and optimize fuel costs.
Viet Nhat Tien International Company Limited is gradually deploying an AI-powered Warehouse Management System (AI-WMS) and an automated transport coordination platform, which enables real-time monitoring of routes and control vehicle allocation, temperature, delivery times, and driver performance. Additionally, the application of AI Vision technology supports item code verification, loss risk alerts, and warehouse safety assurance.
Similarly, Tran Quang Huan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chinh Nam Construction Design JSC (Tran Bien Ward), shared that the company is applying AI in several stages of design, construction, and project operation. According to Huan, AI presents excellent opportunities for the construction industry, helping address traditional challenges and optimize processes. However, to fully utilize the potential of AI, businesses in this field need to invest in data, technology, and human resource development.
Meanwhile, in the education sector, Nguyen Nhu Thang, representative of the VMG English system, stated that the organization operates over 10 centers in Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, and other localities. VMG is pioneering the comprehensive application of AI in teaching and operations. The centers in the system also use AI to personalize learning, understand each student’s abilities, and suggest suitable learning paths and exercises.
At the same time, VMG is automating its operations and management to enhance system efficiency and accuracy. It is also optimizing communication and marketing through AI applications in image design, content creation, and social media management. AI-powered tools are being used to improve the service experience for both parents and students. Recently, the center organized the “Dong Nai’s English Champion” competition for students across the province, applying AI software to support over 10,000 participants.
