On November 1, the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations (DUFO), in coordination with the People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Gia Map commune, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 10 friendship houses for families facing difficult circumstances in the commune.

At the ceremony, Tran Thuy Tien, Vice Chair of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations; Dieu Kieng, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; Tran Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chair of the Commune People’s Committee; and Dang Thi Huong, Chair of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bu Gia Map commune, on behalf of the beneficiary families, performed the groundbreaking ritual for the house construction.

According to Tran Thuy Tien, this event is part of the activities of the Dong Nai Province Friendship, Culture, and Sports Week 2025. The 10 houses funded for disadvantaged residents of Bu Gia Map have a total value of over 836 million VND, sponsored by the VUFO-NGO Resource Centre through the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations.

The construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2025, enabling families to move in before the New Year, 2026. Looking forward, the Union of Friendship Organizations of Dong Nai province plans to continue enhancing efforts to connect and mobilize international non-governmental resources to support social welfare projects, particularly in border communes and underserved areas.
