Not only have accomplishments been achieved to celebrate the first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and move toward the 14th National Party Congress, but recent youth projects and initiatives carried out by the provincial Youth Union, its members, and young people also aim to improve community life.

Notable contributions include activities that ensure social welfare, such as giving gifts, providing medical examinations, and distributing free medicine to residents; awarding scholarships, bicycles, and school supplies to students in difficult circumstances; and building and repairing houses for families experiencing housing difficulties.

Timely care and sharing difficulties

In early September 2025, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation organized the "Journey for Elderly Health" in Song Ray commune. This activity not only contributed to celebrating the first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, by the youth of Dong Nai but also provided an opportunity for elderly residents in Song Ray commune to receive health check-ups.

Nearly 70 years old, Hua Van Thai, a resident of Song Ray Commune, frequently suffers from insomnia, fatigue, and joint pain. Thai shared that due to his condition, he occasionally visited a nearby private clinic and took prescribed medicine in the hope of improving his health. However, just a few days after finishing the medication, his symptoms would return. Upon hearing that a team of doctors was coming to the commune, he sought a consultation to find a more effective treatment. After the examination, doctors advised him to continue taking his blood pressure medication regularly. His joint pain, they explained, was due to osteoporosis and required consistent physical exercise.

For Dieu Thi Loan and her children (residents of La Nga commune), any support at this time is highly valuable. Loan shared: After getting married, she stayed home to care for her children while her husband worked to support the family. Recently, her husband died in an accident, leaving her with five young children to care for. During this difficult time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Nga commune, especially the Youth Union, always provided gifts to her family to share part of the difficulties and loss she and her children were experiencing.

“I cannot rely on family and community support forever. I plan to find a suitable job to earn income to take care of my children’s education and prevent my family from remaining in hardship,” Loan confided.

According to statistics from the Provincial Youth Union, in addition to gifting, medical examinations, medicine distribution, and health consultations for residents, many units have implemented diverse activities and models to assist people in difficult circumstances. Notably, the 5,000 VND breakfast model, organized every Monday morning by the An Phuoc Commune Youth Union, not only helps those in need but also raises funds to provide health insurance cards for needy students. So far, through this model, the commune Youth Union has distributed 13 health insurance cards to students in difficult circumstances. These activities vividly demonstrate the role of Dong Nai youth in enhancing the lives of residents.

Contributing to environmental protection

In addition to sharing residents’ difficulties through timely projects, Dong Nai provincial Youth Union units have also organized activities to improve rural and urban landscapes, protect the environment, and respond to climate change.

One prominent youth environmental activity is cleaning and maintaining hygiene through the Green-Clean-Beautiful Saturday and Green Sunday campaigns, which include painting utility poles to reduce illegal advertising.

Alongside youth projects that foster community spirit, Youth Union units across Dong Nai province also implement initiatives related to public education and digital skills for residents.

Two days before the first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, the Trang Dai Ward Youth Union, together with officers and soldiers from stationed armed forces units and students from Dong Nai University of Technology, organized the "Green-Clean-Beautiful" Saturday campaign. Youth members, officers, soldiers, and students cleaned the Trang Dai Ward Cultural, Sports, and Community Learning Center, as well as several streets with high litter.

Meanwhile, the Xuan Lap Ward Youth Union launched the Repainting New Smiles, Nurturing Dreams project at local kindergartens. Nguyen Dan Ha, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Xuan Lap Ward Youth Union, stated that the project drew a large number of youth union members from kindergarten branches and residential areas. Together, they painted 30 stone benches and refurbished 60 pieces of playground equipment for children at kindergartens in the ward. The initiative helped beautify school grounds, create a friendly learning and play environment for children, and demonstrated the Youth Union’s role in caring for and nurturing the younger generation.
