Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi) recently inflicted heavy losses of life and property across central and northern Vietnam. Amid these devastating impacts, the Vietnamese people’s spirit of solidarity and compassion has once again shone through. In response to the call from the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Dong Nai province has launched a series of practical initiatives to assist and support fellow citizens in the affected areas, helping them overcome hardships and quickly restore their daily lives.
On the morning of October 6, amid the solemnity of the weekly flag-raising ceremony, government agencies, units, and local communities across Dong Nai province launched a joint fundraising campaign to aid citizens affected by Typhoon No. 10.
From the State Headquarters and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to Party offices, provincial departments, and local communes and wards, a strong spirit of solidarity and sharing was evident, embodying the values of ‘the strong protect the weak’ and ‘love others as yourself.’ The presence of provincial leaders at the launching ceremony not only offered encouragement but also underscored the importance of social responsibility and human compassion in times of crisis.
Each official, civil servant, and worker contributed voluntarily with a heartfelt spirit to support citizens affected by natural disasters. Although the amounts were modest, they carry profound symbolic meaning and offer timely support to those facing hardships.
Dong Nai province, with its long-standing tradition of compassion, has always been at the forefront of charitable and relief efforts. This latest initiative further highlights the social responsibility and community spirit of the province’s officials, civil servants, and residents. Their solidarity not only provides vital support to storm-affected citizens but also strengthens national unity and the bonds that connect the Vietnamese people in every circumstance.
In recent years, natural disasters and floods have become increasingly severe, causing serious disruption to people's lives. In Dong Nai, timely and compassionate actions have not only helped address immediate consequences but also conveyed a profound humanitarian message that in times of hardship, the spirit of Vietnamese solidarity continues to shine.
Dong Nai today is recognized not only for its economic and social achievements but also as a model of community solidarity and social responsibility. Each act of giving, whether large or small, contributes to a collective effort that embodies the spirit of national compassion. The principle of ‘fellow citizens supporting one another’ serves as a unifying force, strengthening resilience and unity across the country, and demonstrating how local communities can come together to overcome adversity and uphold a culture of care and mutual support.
